-refer the [[:wikify|wikify]] - page to see how namespaces are organized. This way the new wiki can be built up in parallel to the existing one without having pagename-conflicts. When the new wiki will go live, only the ':home:home' - page has to be moved to 'home'. On the new home, all the links are already mapped to the new namespace-concept. Also the templates in the 'new_wiki_layout' - namespace have all the links mapped to the right pages (except if they link to another template).
