  1. Hi Zam There is a Calibration Tool in MIOS Studio. Its under Tools and called "MBHP_MF_NG Tool". Im sure you can adjust the faders there but i can't really follow your statements above. I think your console must has dBu marks beside the Faders so the 0dBu point must be below the Top by -18dBfs of the full length of the fader. Because of the Logarithmic scale you have to ajust the -18dBfs point of your DAW correctly to the 0dbu mark on your Console. br, novski
  2. Not shure... Give it a try... ðŸ˜
  3. Do you physicaly use J11 or J12 to connect to DI of the DMX sheeld? +5V seams correct to me. br, novski
  4. Hi Zam It is possible. Look in to the Manual. There you will find a section called Banks. It workes like this sample i fount there as well... Bank 1 EVENT_ENC id= 3 hw_id = 3 bank=1 fwd_id=LED_MATRIX:3 fwd_to_lcd=1 type=CC chn= 1 cc= 18 range= 0:127 offset= 0 ports=1000100000001000 lcd_pos=1:1:1 label="ENC #%3i %3d@(1:3:2)%B" Bank 2 EVENT_ENC id= 19 hw_id = 3 bank=2 fwd_id=LED_MATRIX:3 fwd_to_lcd=1 type=CC chn= 1 cc= 34 range= 0:127 offset= 0 ports=1000100000001000 lcd_pos=1:1:1 label="ENC #%3i %3d@(1:3:2)%B" This assigns different parameters to the same Hardware. In your case the fader. Like that its possible to switch a send of any kind to a fader or encoder and back. I think the Mec switches are in 2.54 piches... Check this: http://www.mec.dk/files/MEC/brochures/5G-caps.pdf The backdraw is that the dubble LEDs cant be used both in one design... Because of the inverse diodes on top of the switch... And they are expensive. Contact me if you like them, i have a bunch spare... Best regards Novski
  5. no need of permission up to 10 sold units a year. point 5.3 in this license: http://www.ucapps.de/TAPR_Noncommercial_Hardware_License_v1.0.pdf greets novski
  6. ok. I tried a bit around today but can't figure out how that all works. I added a DOUT4 to my core and took one resistor Array out of it by making short connections where the Array resistor was before. Then i added this code to my NGC file: i connected a LED to D0 of SR3 (Cathode) and D0 SR4 (Anode). I loaded that code to my Core and the LED went ON. I was surprised. Then i tried to find out the command to lit a LED one by one and found that the normal LED comand: "EVENT_LED id=999 hw_id=16 value=127" makes i go dark. Value=0 makes it go on. Can somebody explane me why its hw_id=16 and not 8 ? Im confused thanks novksi
  7. Thanks TK. I looked trou the parameters of NG .NGC and was surprised how much was added since i read that last time! Thats really a great work. Thank you so much. i will have 3 selection lines and 8 rows with each color to get 24 RGB Backlit Buttons. I didn't find a parameter to set the number of selection lines in the .NGC..? necessary? best regards novski
  8. Regarding this Button that i can't use i made my decision to use the Sparkfun Button Pads again. I now have some questions to RGB LEDs wiring. I want to use 3 Color LEDs. I can't find much information about that quite new feature. A found a drawing from Protodeck http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/lib/exe/detail.php?id=protodeck&media=protodeck:ledsdout.png But i think it should be easier somehow without those NPN Transistors driving the Selection Lines. Did i mis a schematic somewhere or is there no documentation available yet? Thanks for a hint.. novski
  9. Regarding the German discussion i linked above i now know: Charlyplexing is not possible with HC595 because the Tristate OE! is one signal for all outputs. I didn't find a Chip with multiple OE until now. Exept makting a uC working as a HC595 there is no solution for this... best regards novski
  10. Same from me in switzerland, just in case.... br
  11. Yes. That wold be great! To get a Color for each Button. Mute, Solo, Select...
  12. Did anybody ever use a Charly circuit with Midibox? Seams to be quite powerful... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlieplexing#Charlieplexing
  13. Hi I have a question regarding the NG App. I have a bunch of Buttons that have a wrong layout of the LEDs. They are Parallel with different direction. Now i asked the friends of microkontroller.net for advice and they say that it is possible to make a Array with a 74HCT595 and let them work in a H-Bridge way together and Pulse the two LEDs from each direction. Is that possible to do with the NG App? Thanks Novski edit: this is the link. Its German sorry for those who don't understand... http://www.mikrocontroller.net/topic/335089?goto=3674282#3674282
  14. Is your VCA driven by a different Voltage range then the 0-5V of the MF_NG Module? I don't really understand why you need a dual Linear Track...
  15. Hi again! There are some good sugestions here already! The one that i had in my bookmarks is https://www.1zu1prototypen.com Its a company located in Austria and they seam to make good stuff! Last evening i had a course in 3d printing. As i sayed its not for big cases bit altrough i think with those honeycomb chambers the material gets more stable then full filled material is. I don't have a propf for that but it felt quite so... Wher i made my course they charge 10€ per printing hour... Including the material ABS. Making a 2x2cm cube takes exactly one hour. The Printing Time rises with the complexity of your model. Its a smal company in my hometown. easy3d.ch best regards Novski
  16. Well it always depends on what material you take and in what a strength ists built. They make honeycomb structures between wals and like that it can get realy strong. The main problem is that those Printers for Hobbists dont make big parts and the Professional Prints are expencive... Il have to go throu my bookmarks. I think i have some supplyers saved there...
  17. Hi Soj There are such supplyers. They make a good work but the Price is nerver as cheep as a wood case... Where do you live? Those 3D Printers are mostly regional...
  18. Thank you so much! Im currently searching for a solution to provide those schematics i made to the community. Wold you join that? What i thought of is a Github system that makes it possible for people to make their own Projekts like programers make forks... best regards novski
  19. Hi I just received the STM32F4 Core Board and a MIDI I/O PCB from SmashTV. They have a nice colored graphite black soldermask! I realy like that! But i can't find a schematic or a Partslist for the MIDI I/O pcb anyware... Does anybody have those informations for me? Thanks a lot novski
  20. Hi Zam Thats a huge Projekt you are planing here. I am developing modules for a DAW remote that may look similar, but without Audio. I have some pre built modules from smashTV (midibox-shop.com) that i dont need anymore because i built my own. PM me if you whant pre built ones... Best regards Novski

  22. Im in for one! Please... Best regards Novski
  23. I have rebuilt all boards that are related to the NG project in eagle. Some with different Dimensions and parts but i can provide those if you need them... Rather of sharing one to one i wold like to get a solution like Github or something similar where we can upload forks and different designs / change parts and add such specialties like 3d model linking to parts. Im no IT guru and actually don't even know what Github does but to me it seams like a possibility to share those layouts... Maybe it wold be good to open a thread do discuss that... I don't know how Thorsten likes that idea... Most of the Schematics are his work, so even if its opensource we somehow shold ask him for permission i think... Maybe he even has a different idea how to share that data... best regards novski update: After talking to a Friend he checked the SVN of Thorsten and mentioned to work with that. I din't know that its possible to use svn for non-code based work...

    Lamp ?

something to laugh:  http://www.alva-audio.de/products_mgl.php  best regards novski
  25. maybe you whanto to check the RS Designspark tool. They seam to integrate a 3d visualizer over a also free available CAD modeling software... I once did a Eagle3D. There is a Website that descibes the steps but its not integrated in eagle it self, its kind of a addon... And works with SketchUp from Google. And the output is mostly just the board with pads, drills and wires... novski
