  1. thanks all for your input. I've gone back to @Altitude who built my seq and figured out that i asked him to build unipolar CV 0-10v. I was a noob at the time and didn't understand much in cv/gate stuff. I managed to change the polarities on the AOUT trims to have now bipolar output and trim down my gates which were super hot as at the time i was sequencing a roland system100. Glad i sorted this aout!
  2. Yes I could. Would be nice if all tracks work the same midi/cv though. Hence my query
  3. Thanks. So it is normal that the Aout puts out +5v at C-3? No way to change that on the seq?
  4. the Seq outputs +5v with the generic C-3 which first comes when entering a note manually. via midi C-3 seems to trigger moog's middle C. (the note which sends 0V when sending via moog's keyboard CV out) do I just need an octave shifter and mults? annoying...
  5. sorry just found out that calibration was probably to calibrate external gear. checking on my scope, 1V output from AOUT is showing correctly 1V on scope. so it is probably the way my modules are setup then.... anyone run into those issues before? thanks
  6. not too sure what AOUT setup i have (@Altitude?) It is probably a calibration setup of the AOUT, but there is not much info on the manual on how to set it up properly. CV config- Calibr- what do you use and in which case? also module- what is Aout/ Aout-LC/ Aout-NG/ MCP_Gx1? thanks
  7. starting to use my seqv4 AOUT CV/gate with some modules, but i'm having troubles with octave matchings, getting way higher pitch in CV than midi on the same OSC (matriarch oscs can be played both in midi or CV). thanks for your help
  8. Raph @ Michigan Synth Works helped me build mine. highly recommended
  9. that would make it like scenes in ableton. great idea!
  10. by the way, making it uppercase works.
  11. my SD card is FAT16, so reformatting to FAT32 is ok?
  12. I think the SEQ is behaving well. it is the drum machines that don't. when I start the DAW, it is still on a beat 1 of a bar. and SEQ starts on 1 too. but the drums don't (unless it is 1.1.0 of the song or it works ok with ableton clips on session view) but if I bypass the SEQ, the drums will behave correctly. so it is in the SEQ thru messages somehow
  13. thanks guys it is indeed that my drum machines start from where they stopped. any way to work around that?
  14. Hi there, In my setup i have Ableton syncing SEqV4 via USB. then SeqV4 syncs machinedrum and tanzbar from one of the midi outputs. (which allows me to work standalone with the seqV4 master without computer, then when i record, Ableton becomes the master) when I start Ableton on bar 1, everything is in sync and starts together on beat 1- great. when I start ableton later in the song, say bar 17, seq V4 still starts on beat 1 but MD and TB start when they left off, together on the same beat, but not on beat 1- not good If i start SeqV4 itself, everything in time again. any settings in SeqV4 could be causing that? thanks guys dave
  15. Can the SeqV4 receive prog change to change its sessions via DAW?
  16. great, i have not used pattern mode yet, and it is exactly what i need so will look at that asap. thank you. ps: this thread is also to see what general workflow people have performing or creating with the seqV4 so keep it coming!
  17. yeah. never did any song modes on any sequencer. things need to happen when i decide on the spot, not the other way around... snapshots would be awesome then...
  18. I like that idea! saving individual track lenghts, mute states, arp on or rec on or just anything that u come up with within the seq just for one part of the song....
  19. so you can save mutes in patterns as well?
  20. How do you guys organise your sets? Not much emphasis on the workflow in the manual. So far i mainly used single sequences, now i would like to have different parts of the same song sequenced, like intro/verse/chorus for example with the same instrument track, and also for several tracks together jumping parts. I guess I never quite grasped the architecture of the machine: sessions (i take that for different songs), and within sessions, tracks put in groups of 4. Are patterns between sessions and tracks and what i'm looking for? thanks
  21. thanks Peter, that looks like dark ages.... I will have a look why i couldn't save as 'PlasticM'
  22. well im only using big and small letters... is there more limitations?
  23. I had this problem a few times now, when i'm saving (EXIT MENU- SAVE AS), I get a 'Name Not Valid' message, with remove (. , ! ?) when there arent any of those.
  24. is that new core easy to swap with the old one hardware wise?
