  1. Hey, Just a few more questions... 1)How do i calculate the size of the required power size for this box? Would a 500ma 12v do the job? 2)Can i use a 100V / 1 Amp rectifier for the cores? Its the smallest voltage i can get locally. 3)Also...If i only have 1 LCD will that be ok? Is there a benifit of having two displays (one for each core)? Thanks heaps Smitch
  2. Is this possible with Traktor DJ studio? -Smitch
  3. Im looking for the same thing. Have you had any luck yet?
  4. Is linking cores as simple as joining them at the correct pins? What programming/software configuration is required? Once connected am I free to connect the maximum inputs to each core or are there restrictions? Do certain modules have to be connected to a certain core, or can i connect them to either? Thanks again Smitch
  5. I am building a midibox with: 18 pots 7 faders 2 jog wheels 105 buttons 2 switches Because I have 109 digital inputs i will need to link two cores right? So overall I need: 2 * Cores 4 * DIN 1 * AIN 1 * LTC Is this correct? Would I use a Rotary Encoder for the jog wheels? These are connected to a DIN module right? Thanks for your help Smitch
  6. Thanks heaps Ive been doing heaps of reading over the past few nites. Saw alot of your posts about ur up and coming midibox. I love the design. Im going to go for something similar I think. Have you done any planning for the electronics side of things? Anything you have on this will be very much appreciated. Im confident that i can physically build it, but not so confindent in the planning of how its all going to work. Also one more question: Does the new trackor have midi out so motor faders and led's could be controlled? If not is there a workaround of some kind? Or even another peice of software that is as good? Thanks Smitch
  7. Ok, so i checked out Traktor and MixVibes and discoverd they can be controlled via a midi controller. All I have to do now is build it. Im a little confused by the modules I need. What ones do I need? Also has anyone done this before and have an interface design i can have a look at to get some ideas? Thanks Again Smitch
  8. Hey, I want to build an interface for a program like PCDJ or MixVibes etc and will look like and function like a dual cd player..Ive seen commercial ones availabe for example the DAC2: http://www.pcdj.com/Products/Hardware/DAC-2.asp. However I dont have a big enough budget. So will one of the current midibox designs be cabable of something like this? Has anyone done this before? Any advice, suggestions, photos, links etc will be very much appreciated. Thanks Smitch
  9. hey TK... I was wondering what you used to create the menu bar on the ucapps site? Or was it all hand coding. Looks good and works well :) Smitch
  10. Hi, Promise ill stop asking questions soon:) Can I replace the 330nf Ceramica cap in the MidiBox Plus with any of the following? -330nF Tag Tantalum 35V -330nF Greencap or "Mylar" 100V Thanks alot
  11. Thanks alot you are a legend
  12. Hey, Ive seen pics of people pots that look to be mounted into a pcb or veroboard. Is there an easy way, rather than a single wire to each pot connection? Thanks in advance Mitch
  13. Is it possible to add more midi triggers to the midibox 16? I could probabl use more than 8.
  14. Is there a way in which i can use a 50K Linear Slide fader (pot) instead of a 10k. Will it still work? The reason im asking is that I can only find 50k faders localy. Thanks
  15. Thanks, Motor fader sound kewl, but i dont need 'em. Im trying to keep my box as simple as possible:) So if i use a 10K Slide pot on my MIDI box 16 in place of another pot, it should be fine. Will it wire up the same way as a normal pot? How do I determine what wire goes where? Thanks alot This really helps:)
