  1. Hi Nerd. I ve seen final scratch before but it seems really expensive. People have been using turntable skills on...well turntables for ages. What would be intresting is if you could use the same skills for manipulating filter cut-offs or envelope attacks. Hi LO. A high torque turntable? Hmm. I wouldnt mind if I couldnt play records on the turntable again because Id be using it as an interface. Thank you very much LO I'll get researching for a turntable :D
  2. Hi Peeps :) If an optical mouse could be implemented it might be possible to modify a turntable so that if you "scatched" a record it would change it to a midi controller. Â So it would be possible to use turntable skills on any midi instument...Come to think of it it would be nice to link that to a scrub function on a sequencer. If I had the skills to do it myself! :)
  3. It would be cool if it was possiblee to do the same with Amigas too eventully. Hehe an old school computer synth range :D Evil Tez
  4. It would be cool if it was possiblee to do the same with Amigas too eventully. Hehe an old school computer synth range :D Evil Tez
  5. Hi TK Thank you fo ansewring my questions again :D I think its time I just do it! See you later :) Evil Tez
  6. Whooooohooooooo!!!!! ;D Hi TK...Thanks fo ansering my question. I have a few more though; If you have the time... 1. Have you finished evaluating XPL0? It looks like a very powerfull language that bridges the gap between machine code and high level languages (yes, Ive been learning all I can) 2. Is there a limit to how many cores that can be chaned together? I dont want to come up with an un realistic plan. 3. If its possible to make a Midibox send syx do you think it will be possible to get MIOS to talk to my DSP Factory? I have asked for the SDK from Yamaha. In my non programmers mind it looks like (all!!!) I have to do is get the Midibox NG to output code that speaks to the card. If I can implement this it would be an awsome peice of kit. Am sure this is unrealistic because it would be too good to be true. Using the Midibox NG as a mixer control surface/midi controller would be incredible!!! 4. I know you must be sick of sequencer questions but would it be possible to have a sequencer as complex as the AN1x (one of my favorite synths)? Id really like to do a "every function has a knob or fader" Midibox for it but Im going to do one thing at a time :) Come to think of it it would be a good learning exercise. HUI killer here I come!!! hehe Evil Tez
  7. Its getting better and better!! :D Where do the meter readings come from?  Do you mean  the VU monitors from Sonar will show up on the display? Thank You Evil Tez
  8. Oh I will TK...Thank you for the help. The more I find out about this prodject the more I realise I can have the perfect system with a little effort towards the hard work done here. Thank you for all the time you put into this. Ive just thought of a question but Im goig to see if I can find the ansewr myself :) Evil Tez
  9. OMG!!! :D :o :D The one thing Ive been waiting patiently for years can be done with MIOS!?! Ive never programmed anything in my life but Im going to learn MIOS. It seems that if I could get it to talk with Sonar and my DSP Factory I'll have a Mackie HUI on my hands!!! I have no knowledge of this but Im going to try. The the thought of linking this up to a loopsequencer and having an interface that can talk over networks Is an awsome prospect but having a feature like this will be awsome!!! Can you recomend any programing sites to start learning please? Evil Tez
  10. I didnt know it was possible to do on a budget! Do you think that really is possible?
  11. Hi Peeps :) So would it be possible to have one core looking after the user interface, 8 motor faders and 64 led ringed encoders. The second doing the same but with 2 40 LCD's for the motor faders. The last core using a graphical lcd shows you the information for the selected controler (like midi channel destination and controler name) and uses its buttons and encoders only for navigation and user assigned keys? Can banksticks connected to all the cores connected be accessed? Evil Tez
  12. Hi Flownezz :) I mean like when you spin a record on a slip mat on a belt driven drive it spins (effecting the pitch and speed) then goes back to the normal speed. I was thinking of a midi effect that simulates this. Final Scratch is simular but its an audio to program interface. This would just be with midi. Evil Tez
  13. Hello Thorsten, Thank you for all yur hard work...This is an awsome project :) I have some ideas for you. What a turntable midi looper. When a knob is turned when its looping it affects the paramiter, speed, direction and pitch? If the looper could have say 4 tracks what about being able to freeze and back spin each of the midi tracks. Is it possible to write a to text utillty usin MIOS? Thanks Evil Tez
