  1. Hi, It´s all about the mechanical construction. If the pot is held together with a little metal flanges as in the encoders, it should be easy. Anything sealed: Forget about it. So, experiment! Moebius
  2. Would that be (pin C.4, J10:RC) as said in the http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_lcd.html MBHP LCD Module page? Moebius
  3. Hi It´s connected where the enable line of the 2nd 2x40 would be connected. Moebius
  4. Nice to see Smash on ranting moode ;D The actual subject is rather fuzzy to me, but hey, it´s not dumpster on MY backyard! (Yup, irony) I´m not sure what the case was here before the edit (how much text was copied), but I beg to differ in one matter: This is one-sided statement by the names of the webpage which is overruled by "Fair use" defined in the law in the every civilized nation.. ;) The line is thin, but it´s there: I´d say, for informational purposes with link provided to the original source and clean citation You can push it pretty far. Or are we just being rational for not sueing each other for quoted forum post of emails? ;D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use Moebius p.s. Yes, I do know bad examples from the blogging world, where the information strangely bends and bends.. beware of FartTrixSynth
  5. Hi, The test procedure is not that strange at all: It uses lamps as artificial load to stress test PSU for faults. But as You said, checking for correct voltages is good enough (for us) Moebius
  6. Well, Searching the net, I think I was wrong.. ::) Moebius
  7. Hi- Actually size limit is only for creating/editing files with the freeware version - You can open/print ect. (and do minimal editing) on files created with other versions. Moebius
  8. If this is THAT error, then it´s "path too long" in plain MPLAB talk ;) Move the source files closer to drive root directory, for example: C:\MB\ ... (strange that Mighty 40MB+ MPLAB still uses external 2MB- MPASM to compile sources and can´t display error messages in human readable form - Does everybody have to imitate.. uhh..) Moebius
  9. In this matter it IS particularly safe. Moebius
  10. Yes, By using something, which should give You even more creeps: http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=1964.0 Moebius
  11. Yup, those exist.. But I guess those wouldn´t work here. They are not using them on SDIY, soo.. ;) Moebius
  12. Someone else knows this better than me, but I guess this could be ok. There's anyway decoupling cap at the output, so DC voltage doesn't pass to the output. (and current thread about sid input suggested, that input pin IS biased around 5VDC. This shouldn't be THE problem, sid should have sound anyway. Using clock signal from the core to the SID board is MUCH recommended, because it's the only way to ensure synchronous SID register updates. Moebius
  13. Yup, You're correct there: DMMs really can't visualize AC waveform and the measurement is given out as RMS, not the waveform peak levels. Moebius /edit Whoops, that added "n't" really does make a difference... Scopes are needed to properly visualise waveforms..
  14. Hi. If You look at the slorrin's current posts - he is out off stock. Moebius

    TB-303 seq?

These are the versions of the ML303 diy 303 clone by acidcode.de, I'm lost here too, probably revisions on the digital board. It's not available anymore, but the *********** leads to the forums.. please, don't go n00bing there - as Twin-x said. No. It uses MIOS bootstrap loader to upload firmware to the ML303 Hmm.. not having the link handy ;D Moebius

    TB-303 seq?

Hmm.. I think Twin-x meant more that this community has very close bonds, but in "don't go ask them for any re-runs of the PCBs", way. [offend on] No wonder, really: See how many midi controllable 303 clones there are! Now those clueless, talentless infantiles want the "original" sequencer to prove, "My traxx suck, but 'cause I didn't have right the sequencer".. it doesn't turn 'em to Phuture or Hartfloor. ;D [offend off] sorry. ML303, acidcode, the link TK posted = the very same thing. You might even find nick called "acidcode" from this MB forum and I had a warm welcome from him to sign-in to his forums. The code for V3, V4 and V5 is available and also schematics for V5 too. By the way, 303 voice board PCB layouts are out there somewhere - in the internet and not even done by a trained monkey. Moebius p.s. Thorsten is being too modest here: ML303 uses his old bootloader code, permission asked - permission granted, TK acknowledged in the documents.
  17. NOT - 2 complitely different OTAs from different manufacturers. Substitution involves also some minor changes in the surrounding circuit. Moebius
  18. Hex pickups for Guitar do exist... Moebius
  19. Hi TK, Seppoman. Getting the picture? ;D I spent numerous hours searching for acceptable replacement for MAX525s, although I had a bit narrower search criterias. I really couldn't find anything even nearly matching the needs. I guess price/performance ratio in 525 is about the right? In a way, I'm questioning, if this is really worth the effort? For the most MAX525s are one time investment, off course an expensive one when compared to other MIDIbox related stuff. But usually then, the stuff to be controlled is expensive too? Would the concept of using shift registers and parallel interfaced dacs make the search for a proper and cheap dacs easier? Moebius
  20. WE ARE NOT!!! Seriously offended!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Moepiss ;) p.s. Stryd, pay a visit again, if You have time..
  21. Why do even say that, then? ;D If it has VAC setting, it should be pretty "accurate". Screen update frequency isn't the sampling frequency of the meter, nor slow sampling frequency means that this can't be done in analog domain. (RMS to DC converter) Moebius
  22. Busted! You will be sentenced to wikify it with good formatting ;D MIOS Download page: http://www.ucapps.de/mios/mios_pin_list.txt Moebius
  23. Browser Wars!! Browser Wars!! Do You see something that is missing from Your browser in this picture:
  24. "Easy as ABC, easy as README.. the 1.9 upgrade was hassle free.." ;D There aren't such a radical changes coming for a while, but just a little reminder. As Smash already said, this new procedure will ensure PICs leaving his test/programming rig should be working correctly as some essential functions are already tested. Moebius
  25. Ok, turns out that: I OWN You an apology! I'm Sorry! (Eagle isn't my choice of a PCB CAD package, but I have to deal with it sometimes anyway.) My experiences have been different in this matter. As "freeware" / "Light" user, it has been more or less tossing a coin, if files (from trusted sources) open or not. That is why I have different versions installed. Both versions of the floorboard files DO open in 4.13 Light and DO NOT in 4.16r :P I hope MTE gets away with a little warning and is more careful from now on, but the general consensus in this forum is against any piracy and to respect copyrights.
