  1. my bad, i should have specified. i appricate your suggestions. thanks, luke
  2. Well i dont want to do anything too fancy, and I thought this is why TK has built in the meta events section. I just want all the normal functions of the mb64e with a couple of custom things.
  3. Hello everyone, I'm having a hard time figureing out how to make metaevents work how I need them to. I would like to know how to send two cc's at once from an encoder or a button, and also how to send an nrpn stream. I have looked at all the examples I can find, but I just dont understand assembler. If someone could help me out with some code I would really appriciate it. Thanks, Luke
  4. where did you get those nice connectors for the pin headers? Luke
  5. Bump I was wondering about this too. I have a working mb64e and it would be perfect if i could display the cubase track names. Thanks, Luke
  6. Thanks Thorsten, Ill dig around and see what I can find. I finally finished my box and its working great. Just figuring out the best config now. Ill post some pics in a couple days. Luke
  7. Been searching around and think I found my answer but just wanted to make sure. Is it possible to associate buttons with the encoder groups? Like if i have 32 physical buttons, do I get 32 more virtuals like the encoders? Thanks, Luke
  8. well it turns out that something in the software got corrupted. I replaced the pic with one that didnt have mios on it, and reinstalled ita and loaded my program no problem its working well, not just to get the mapping figured out. Thanks for the help. Luke
  9. Ok great, I wont get too concerned about this. I did not use the LTC. I will try remvoing the Optocoupler and try that out tonight. The funny thing is that it was working very nicely, and then bam seems to have broke. Thank you very much for the help. Luke
  10. Hello everyone, Well I got my midibox64e up and running and it was working great. I did a reconfiguration of the hardware controls and plugged it in last night, and attempted to upload the midio128 program to test out all the controllers. The core crashed about half way through and gave me the "Midi time out, whassup" error, so I tried to reinstall the program, and no luck now right after it displays the firmware, it goes straight to the midi time out error. I unhooked everything from the core, except the lcd and I get the same thing. Sometimes if I power down and then power up quickly, i get an endless stream of very fast moving characters, or just a corrputed looking screen. I dont understand, cause it was working great. I rechecked all the connections and everything looks great. I am going to try and burn a differet pic to see if its just corrupted software. Anyone else seen this before? All help is appriciated! Oh, I made this core from one of smash's kits so Im sure all the parts are correct, and I searched and read all the posts with the error code in them, but none seem to have the same problem as i do. Thanks, Luke
  11. Sorry, found my answer here: http://69.56.171.55/~midibox/forum/index.php?topic=3879.0 Has someone used the c64 ps for the mbfm yet? Any details? Thanks Luke
  12. Is this possible, any mods needed? thanks, Luke
  13. to replace the faders? I was hoping that I could just substitute encoders for the motorfaders. thanks, Luke
  14. Oh cool, thats it? So I am assuming that there is room on one of the DIN's for the extra 8 encoders? Thanks, Luke
  15. Hello, I have read that you can build the MB LC, substituting the motorfaders for encoders. I cant seem to find any details on this though. Could someone tell me what I need to do to make this work? Do I need any other modules? Does it require code modifications? Thanks, Luke
  16. This post confused me a bit. Does this mean that it isnt possible with the current software to save a pattern without the sequencer stopping or gilitching? Thanks, Luke
  17. Actually it will cost me a bit less if i send them the enclosure. What they would charge me for a piece of anodized black aluminium will pay for the enclosure i was lookin at. Luke
  18. Well, I emailed them, and they told me that if I send them the enclosure, they will cut it for me, and that it doesnt have to be a flat panel. Same way you would if you were using their material, do your design, and submit it to them through Frontpanel designer. Unfortunatly, I think my controller needs more space between the knobs, so Im not quite sure its gonna fit in a hammond now. Im still working on it, so Ill let you know how it goes. Thanks for the tip, Ill email the guy. Thanks, Luke
  19. I would definetly be interested in this. Luke
  20. Hello everyone, I found a hammond enclosure, that is perfect for my midibox, but reading the forums, I had read that FPE will only cut flat panels. Well I contacted them yesterday and they told me that they can in fact cut my panel into a pre-made Hammond enclosure. So I will let you all know what the results are when I get it back. And it turns out that the enclosure will cost me about the same as the aluminium panel would have cost from FPE. For those who don't know Frontpanel Express is the US counterpart to Shaffer. They use Frontpanel Designer aswell. It will probably be a while, cause the enclosure I need is'nt stocked by anyone and its like a month lead time. Luke
  21. Yes I did, that led me to this question. What I want is to build my current controller that I have planned, then eventually add a MBLC to my setup, but I just thought it would be nice to integrate them together via the midibox link. Im just still unsure as to whether you have to write a custom program or if you can just run the established applications in different combinations. Thanks for the help, Luke
  22. Good point, I guess that is a definet work around if you can just link them. Thanks
  23. Is it possible to have two linked cores, both running different applications? Like one running 64e, and the other running the LC? Or do they have to match? Thanks, Luke
  24. Is it possible to build an lc (kinda)clone, only utilizing the control portion of the controller? Like the jog wheele and stuff, but just kinda add that on to a midibox 64e? I have my 64e designed, and its just what I want, but Live will be integrating Mackie control soon, and I would like to add the ability to navigate and stuff from the controller, but i dont want the motorfaders, and I need more rotaries. Thanks, Luke
  25. is it possible to run the mackie emulation on the mb 64e? It would still be nice to have the extra memory though. Luke
