Hi I have Smash TV’s DIN and DOUT Boards they came with 4 caps each And I do not know what to do with them, I do not see them on his diagram or doc’s. I have looked on this site but they are not the same layout I also think my first order did not have them. I E-Mailed him and I sure he will respond in time, I just want to start testing. Thank You.

I did get some of the test programs to upload and work. So I feel alot better about this but it will still hang for the midibox hex. Thank you for such a cool thing.

OK thank You again MIOS Studio worked great for uploading 1.8 I think I had a bad Optocoupler also Now the LCD will say READY I upload the midibox64e HEX file it will load and reboot Then Hang on *format bank 1 for ever I have Bank Sticks to use but have not connected them yet to keep it easy at first Any Ideas Thank You for all your help

Hi I Have a Core, Din and a 2 by 20 LCD Hooked up. My PIC is Number 1 So I changed the SyxString (F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F7) to (F0 00 00 7E 40 01 01 f7) every were I saw it in MIDI-OX . Then I uploaded it and on my display It went through the loading process and came up MIOS 1.08 then Ready So all is good so far I think. Then I go to up load {midibox64e} I changed the SyxString Again and upload Now after rebooting I get Loading Setup p n From Bank Stick ------ Flashing So I am Stuck And have no idea what to do I might of missed changing the Pic ID on one String of the midibox64e upload Also is there a way to erase every thing but the Bootloader and start all over

I up loaded MIOS V 1.7 To my core I had to change ID to 01 in MIDI in MIDI OX Now my LCD is Flashing MIOS V1.7 © 2004 t.Klose I then tried to upload MIDIbox 64 Generic and it still just flashes MIOS V1.7 © 2004 t.Klose Is MIOS on my pic and any ideas what to do next Thank you all for your help once I get the first one up I hope to be able to help others get going.

I have put together two core’s and checked the voltage and every thing looks good I have the bootstrap loader on them (They came as kits) They are both hooked up to Backlit LCD’s when I power up I get solid black bars On one row of the LCD and there back light will not come on. I am pretty sure every thing is put together right. I tried to download sysex files to the cores one at a time but I seam to not have a connection. (Using Serges software ) I am OK with MIDI and MIDI dumps so I do not think that is the problem. I understand it can be a number of things that are wrong but Any idea where to start Thank You for your help.

First of all I have to say this Site has changed my life I just do not know if it is good or bad yet I am jumping in with both feet I just bought a used SSL Scenaria. I am going to use the racks with the pen tablet’s keyboard’s and monitor’s So that allows me to use the console for my project. For the monitors in the console I got two ELO touch Screens for free from work. I have 16 extra Penny &Giles Motor Faders to add to the console that came with the purchase I also have a X-Keys OMF to use for extra switches. My Idea is to use 4 separate core (3 LC and one Generic Midi ) I have bought half of the parts that I need from Smash TV I just started soldering and have two core’s done I am mainly using Sampltude 7 upgrading to 8 so I can use 4 Midi controllers. And Vegas Video 5 I am planning to deconstruct the console and use the panels ,switches ,buttons and LED’s in the same Places. On the left and right of center I will copy the fader panel with 8 each Moto faders and extra buttons. I have 8-2 by 20 LCD to use in place of the SSL scribble strips.
