Muchas gracias, yo acabo de terminar mi MidiBoxSid!!! Aun no construyo la caja, pero los circuitos estan listos. He compuesto un par de canciones ya con mi MBSid!!

Thank you for replying. I unwired and rewired everything and now it´s perfect. I don´t know what it was. Now it´s perfect and, for the first time, my MBSID made clean and loud sounds!!!! It´s awesome.

That sid sound is amazing... I love it. The only problem is the volume, too low. Could it be that I´m not using the optimized C64 psu, but a wallwart for both modules? Or is this normal?

The problem´s solved now ;D It was the wallwart. Cheap crap!

I´m using a 15v-1.0A wallwart. Sid voltage drops from 12v to 4.5v, and the 5v drops to 3.8 now. ???

I finished my Sid and Core modules and voltages were Ok. Then I interconnected them and, when I power them both, Sid voltage drops to 2.4  If I only power the Sid module, even with both interconnected, the voltage´s fine, but as soon as I power the Core module, it drops again. ??? (no IC´s)   Damn, I was so close...

I started building a MidiboxSid today, and I just finished building the core. The question is, does the voltage regulator have some kind of polarity? cause I think I soldered it the wrong way. thank you

Hola a todos, llevo un tiempo planeando empezar mi MBSid, leyendo el foro y consiguiendo los SIDs (tengo 3 ahora), y apenas hoy me encontré con que existe una sección en español del foro :P . El asunto es el siguente, no entiendo muy bien las interconexiones entre el Core, el Sid y la fuente de poder. No se bien que es lo que necesito -como podran darse cuenta, casi no se nada de electrónica. He visto los diagramas y las instrucciones, pero no entiendo muy bien qué va a qué y cual es el tipo de PSU que necesito. Cualquier ayuda la agradeceré. Saludos Eumir desde México D.F. you have no idea how useful is this post, really, i mean, I have 3 c64´s waiting for me to be brave enough to start building my mbsid (I´m afraid of burning my sid´s), cause I needed some kind of tutorial or something. Now watching you do it is motivating me. Thank you, really, I mean it. I´m ordering the parts from SmashTV next week. Thanx again!

hi, i just can´t find a c64 power supply (i´m in Mexico), so the question is, what else can i use as an alternative? anything will help.
