Hi, It's not possible to edit the WT-Sequercer by the VST. It's only possible to change the WT-Patch and -Rate and the assigned controllers for the WT-Seq. I'm working on a complete rewrite of SidControl with (limited) sysex-possibillities at the moment. http://www.saschazone.de/board/topic.php?tid=26&lng=en It's planned to add a wavetable editor for the future. I currently don't know if it's possible - but it looks good. S.M.

Hi, If your download fails because of my restrictive access system do this : Use Firefox - otherwise simply write a short email to me and I'll send you the files you want... In the next version of Sidcontrol you can select midi chn.#1-16 for each Osc separately. and : SidControl is NOT compatible with Ableton Live (currently) maybe It will work in the future. S.M.

Thanks for testing so much. I will check and fix everything you found (if and as soon as possible). And yes, it is possible to make the three osc's listening on different midi channels. - I'll implement that in the next version. S.M.

Thanks for the helpful information, I forgot to set some important connections in the new structure - so I couldn't get any Sounds in FL-Studio, too. I assume the other 27 people who have downloaded this version should have had the same problem because SidControl has no MIDINOTE-connection at the moment... I was a little bit too fast with this release, sorry. I'll fix this problem very soon and then I'll drop a post in here... S.M.

Hi there, This schould answer the last three posts : To Wild_Weasel: I think that SidControl doesn't have the same MIDI-Port/Channel-setup by default... That means when your existing MIDI-track goes to Port B/Chn. X and you pull SidControl over it the MIDI-Signal goes to SidControl's default Port (hardware/alphabetical-order) Port: A/Chn. 1. I only use FLStudio6 for testing my plugins. To narf : Once, if SidControl is ready it's going to be included to my freeware-section. For those people which have no money-problems and love this plugin much there'll be a 'donate' button in the plugin (currently at the Info-page). To fokfokfok : That's a MIDI-Setup problem: First move the small knob in the lower left of the display section to 12 o'clock. There you'll find the MIDI-properties where you have to set up your correct MIDI-Port/Chn. first. greetings... ...S.M.

Yes, the next version has an internal MIDI-out (and it works so far ;D). I have to do some internal optimizations (remove the multiport capacity-I think it's unnecessary). I made a workaround on my page in the last few days which spent a lot of time. Now it's more comfortable and it works good with IE (but I recommend Mozilla). New user registration is switched off, yet - but only a few days (max.72hrs-from now). The next version of SidControl (and some other new VST's) will be available soon. Hi, I have just tried out the energy-XT-Demo and I found out that the current versions of SidControl are NOT compatible with this Software. -sorry.... It is not because of the missing midi-out connectors because SidControl HAS NO CONNECTORS. Try the latest demo of 'Audiomulch' - a powerful Host for 'chaining' VST-Plugins http://audiomulch.com/download.htm , load the SidControl-VST and you'll see what I mean. After setting up SidControls MIDI-port (only!) You can play the Plugin without any problems. - Be sure that Audiomulch is running - if not press 'Play' I think that energy-XT is not made for 'non-soundprocessing-VST-Synths' and it eats SidControl's MIDI-data ... greetings by S.M.

hi, I have just uploaded an additional version of SidControl-VST. The new version should support the Multi-Sid-Versions (it sends its data on up to 4 MIDI channels simultaneously). I do not know if it's the best solution because I own a Single-Sid-Synth, only. S.M.

Hi, Auf http://www.saschazone.de ist eine frische Version von SIDControl downloadbar. Jetzt ist es ein wenig geschrumpft (957kb) und hat eine neue Display-Sektion die auch externen Patch-Wechsl erlaubt. ;) Ausserdem hat es jetzt auch weniger bugs. (soll zumindest) ... S.M.

If you are familiar with reactor, I think you'll have no problems with using Synthedit. And if you like this style of connecting anything you should test a VST-Host called 'AUDIOMULCH' http://www.audiomulch.com. -but SIDControl has a little bug in Audiomulch : You'll find a Folder called 'SidControl' within a SCTR.dll - and not the SidControl.dll Plugin. The SCTR.dll isn't a working VST-plugin itself. But when you hold your mouse over the SidControl-folder the real SIDControl.dll will be inserted automatically. (everytime your mouse moves over the SidControl-folder)

I think it's possible to program a mac-version - but you have to be a programmer. (I'm not) ;) And I do not know any .au-editor which lets you create plugins for Mac.

Das mit Logic hört sich gerade schwer nach'nem Bug an - aber das Plugin wurde offensichtlich geladen, sonst hätte es sich nicht entpackt. Im Ordner SidControl befinden sich die entpackten 3rd-party-Module und die SCTR.dll, die spezielle Aufgaben im Plugin erfüllen aber extern in den Arbeitsspeicher geladen und deshalb ausgelagert werden müssen. NUR die 'SIDcontrol.dll' ist das im Host zu ladende Plugin und in FLStudio oder H.Seib's VST-Host funktioniert's - mit Tobybear's Minihost nicht. -Erfahrungsberichte mit anderen Hosts sind übrigens immer willkommen. Für H.Seib's VST-Host sollte man allerdings unter 'Engine -> Priority' den 'Process' auf 'High' und 'Thread' auf 'Highest' stellen, um eine gute Performance zu erhalten. Audio + Midi Einstellungen können in diesem speziellen Fall hostseitig auf 'NO MIDI' bzw 'NO AUDIO' gesetzt werden. Die Auswahl des MIDI-Ports wird über die VST-Plugin-Oberfläche vorgenommen und arbeitet 'am Host vorbei'. So kann man z.B. auch dem Host ein anderes HW-MIDIport als dem SIDControl zuweisen um einen weiteren externen Synth zu betreiben. Jetzt noch'ne spezielle Frage: Wie werden bei einem 4xSid die einzelnen angesprochen? Reicht es, die MIDI-Daten auf 4 Channels gleichzeitig zu senden oder muss man da mit Sysex arbeiten ? Theoretisch funktioniert SIDControl wohl mit jedem Synth, der MIDI-Signale verarbeiten kann - aber wenn die anderen SIDs auf der Welt eine andere MIDI-CC Belegung haben, kommt wohl NUR beim TK-MBHP-SID was sinvolles raus.... =) PS: TK Du hast's fast geschafft - Lediglich die GUI answitchen (markierter Knopf) und SCTR rausschmeissen (wird nicht extra benötigt). ;)

Hiermit möchte ich mich offiziell bei ihm entschuldigen. Der Satz ist allerdings ziemlich gut formuliert und und trifft den nagel derart auf den Kopf, das er sich meinerseits im hinteren Bereich desselben eingenistet und beim schreiben meiner readme aus diesem wieder hervorkam - allerdings ohne Vermerk und in leicht abgewandelter Form :P....und das war nicht beabsichtigt. Aus Respekt vor seiner Arbeit habe ich die betreffenden Textzeilen überarbeitet und überprüfe jetzt, ob ich noch weitere Copyrights mit den Füssen getreten hab...also nochmals Entschuldigung. :) :) :)

I built my SID-Synth into a standard PC CD-Rom drive and call this 'µSid-PC' (as a pendant to Waldorf's Microwave-PC). It's full PC-intengrated and directly connected to my soundcard's CDin. Because of the 6581-Chip I use an external PSU witch gives the required 15V triggered by a 12V relais with the PC-PSU. But with a 8580-SID you can use the PC-power at all. Most Soundcards have 2 stereo CDin's and so you can use up to 4 mono-SIDSynths by this way... ...but not in one CD-Rom drive, I think. My µSID-PC is a single chip-mono-version. But I think it's possible to build a double-SID into one CD-Rom drive, only - maybe (PIC18F) with NOKIA-Display, too.
