  1. OK i might have known it... Thanks for clarification.
  2. Ok thank you ilmenator! Does it make a difference if i connect the optocuppler Pin 6 to 5V instead of 3,3V and if i use a 5,6k instead of a 4,7k resistor like in older schematics?
  3. Hi again! I have another question about the STM32F4 midi in/out: How do i connect external midi devices? Can I use this circuit? Best regards Marxon
  4. Bingo!
Mfg Marxon
  7. Kpete's answer is more sophisticated, now i am embarassed by my one which seems to be wrong. Sorry for that. Sometimes i am too rash :)
  8. Hi borfo, yes the 6N137 should work. I would try it with a 10k instead a 1k pull up resistor. It is connected between pin 6 and VCC. (R18 and R23). Best regards Marxon
  9. Hi again! I found a way to order samples: Just register at ******* There you can get a **** email adress for free. After this create an microchip.com accout with this email adress and you can order free samples. Best regards Marxon EDIT Ilmenator you are right! Due your concerns i dont make this public
  10. Hi, since microchip does only accept buisness or university emails for ordering samples, i like to know if somebody knows a valid email provider? In the past i used the email from internet provider but now i have a new one... :( Best regards Marxon
  11. Ok thats what i thought first, too. Yes of course, you can do it this way. Best regards Marxon
  12. Two SR and eight LEDs? Now i am confused...
  13. Non 10/20 segment bars seem to be rare. I only found red 8 segment bars on ebay.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5pcs-10x20mm-16-Pin-DIP-8-Segment-Red-LED-Bar-Digital-Tube-Replacements-/231132246488?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35d08e31d8 But they have common annode.
  14. Hi Chris, Why buying 20 segment bars? If you own a "multi tool" or a good saw it is less work then you think. To get my four 26 segmet bars I simply used two green 10 segmet led bars, then i cutted yellow 10 segment bars into 4 segment parts and red 10 segment bars into 2 segment parts. But i am sure any bar will work. Do you have a datasheet? Best regards Marxon
  15. Hi Midiboxers, after soldering, i noticed that i had bought logarithmic instead of linear potentiometers :( But maybe someone needs them. They are 10k Ohm and have a detended center. 5 pots = 2€ Best regards Marxon
  16. Hi Thorsten! ...the fourth one  But it´s Ok! You work very much on your awesome MIDIbox project anyway! Best regards Marxon
  17. Guten Morgen Thorsten!
  18. Hi TK, you implemented a lot new CCs for the Bassline, Drum and Multi Engine. Did you also find a solution for the current instrument thing? Best regards Marxon
  19. You have to configure event_ain events. You can find all options at the end of .ngc part in the NG Manual.
  20. Hi eptheca, Yes, you can connect up to 8 poti directly at port J5a/b on the core module. Yes, you can route and merge messages with the MidiboxNG routing capabilities. Best regards Marxon
  21. Hallo Midiboxer!
  22. I have experienced your story in similar form many, many times. My Midibox Sid, Seq, FM and NG are built to 95% on veroboard... I guess the error should be found in the parts that are only used from the sid app. Please recheck the soldering/wiring of PIC pin 29, 28, 24, 23, 22 and 17.
  23. Are sid and core circuits connected all the time on your veroboard? I would try to disconnect the sid part from the core part and check it again.
