  1. Hello Jazza This may not be the answer you want -but - I started out experimenting with JOrgan and Midibox with an M-Audio UNO which did not work at all. I then tried an M-Audio 2 X 2 "Anniversary" interface which gave trouble. I finally ordered a MOTU MicroLite from Amazon and have not had a problem since. I am driving 70 pipe organ SAMs with Windows XP Pro and 3 Midibox Core 8s. I think the root cause of the M-Audio issues was the drivers, even the latest version. Regards Al
  2. John Sometimes jOrgan gets "confused" by such problems, even if the disposition is not saved. Look through your disposition carefully for incorrect or missing references. Also try finding a saved disposition that worked before the problems occurred. (I know this is not a MIDIbox topic but it may be a non-MIDIbox software issue.) Al
  3. John For what it is worth, I had a similar problem - SAMs fluttering, all SAMs on the backrail not functioning, and some SAMs always energized. Your statement "one full row is not working, and the other positions are random. i suspect a wire is loose for the row, but the random could be wire, or diode." I found a bad (intermittant) common connection between the stoprail SAMs and backrail SAMs. This condition would also damage the 74HC165N on the DIN board corresponding to the first SAM on the backrail every time a backrail SAM was activated (I changed a lot of I.C.s). I discovered this by careful visual inspection. I am using jOrgan under Windows XP, 3 MidiBox Core 8's, and latest DIN and DOUT boards. Al
  4. Thank you, TK for your reply. I have a pipe organ keyboard (using DINs) and SAMs on the same core. When the forwarding is enabled the SAMs do not function correctly. So my solution will be to place SAMs and keyboards on separate cores. The keyboard core will have forwarding enabled to activate pipe valves and the SAMs core will have forwarding disabled.   5. Hello everyone. Here is my experimental test setup: 1 core 8, 1 DIN, 8 switches, 1 DOUT, 8 solenoids. I want to activate and deactivate the solenoids from the DIN switches. This works as long as the MIOS Studio MIDIO128 tool GLOBAL option "DIN -> DOUT Forwarding Mode" is enabled. With this option disabled the DOUT will not respond. Is there any way around this?   6. Hello to everyone This is my first post to the forum. My project is pipe organ midification (More about the organ later. Let's get something working first). I have a working core and MIDIO128 using ULN2803's. But, like several others, I have positive keying. Reading the forum directed me to the UDN2981, but these devices do not work in the DOUT's. I have the + and - connected as shown in the UDN data sheet. One forum post stated the the DOUT boards will not work with the UDN's and Trevor, in one of his posts, mentioned "swapping pins 9 and 10". Has anyone successfully used UDN's, and if so, how should I proceed? Thanks Al Earhart Kilgen Opus 3972 theatre pipe organ
