  1. This has probably been answered before but i just wanted to check. I'm building a guitar rig controller, and just wondered if button status (ie on or off) could be changed by incoming midi messages. I've got a TC G-Major which sends midi messages about which effects are active (same message as it responds to to activate/turn off the effect). Wondered if midibox would/could respond to these incoming events and if its a could... How's ya do it?! Thanks! S
  2. What program do you use to open those floorboard pcb designs? I'm using Protel 99 and it doesnt like em! S
  3. Just a quick one, Got a MB64E set up for patch mode. Just wondering how you save patches? can't seem to figure it out. probably being really dumb. S
  4. ok ok! I'm a bit slow! Oops Thanks ;D S
  5. Ok lads! Here's one for ya LCD module (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7620086771&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1) is deciding not to work. I've checked my connections etc and they are all fine and in the correct place. The modules backlight comes on with power to the core module, but nothing happens on screen! I've got MB64E installed on the core and this works fine (tested with buttons and sending out midi signals fine etc etc.) Any ideas? Thanks for your help Sam
  6. Hey all... I'm making a floorboard project, but i only want 5 preset buttons (keep size down and such). I was wondering if it was possible to reprogram the floorboard so that every time you went up a bank, it would send program change messages as follows Bank 1 --> PC 1-5 Bank2 --> PC 6-10 Bank 3 --> PC 11-15 etc etc. I'm not really sure about what the code at the bottom of buttons.inc is doing (the Button Program Changed bit). if someone could help or point me int he right direction that'd be amazing :D ta S

    Split midibox

Cool. Thanks for that. Its just i don't want a massive connector. The boxes will be literally next to each other! cable will be 10cm max! That's good.. Hmmm yeah let y'all know how it goes. :) S
  8. Hiya, I'm building a midibox controller for my guitar rig. Problem is i can't find a box big enough for what i want. But this kind of came as a blessing in disguise. I thought i'd make it in two boxes, one with the functions i want all the time and one with the functions i use sometimes (so i don;t have to take as much to gigs :P) Question is, i want a DIN and DOUT module in the second box. Now can i run the connection to the second box as it were the connection to the board, or will i have to run all the inputs and outputs from these boards to the second box and locate the boards in the primary box (ie can i disconnect a DIN and DOUT whenever i want or will it result in erronious messages) Sam

    Patch Mode

Hiya, Just looking at making a midibox64E combined with the old floorboard model. My idea is that, i can have the floorboard sending program changes to the MB64E which will then (hopefully) send on more midi messages to my gear. My question is, if i save a 'scene' as a patch on my MB64E, say to program change command 24, when the unit recieves the message will it then send out the midi messages in that patch automatically? I'm making something similar to the skyrdstrup systems if thats any help to what i mean! Sorry if this makes no sense. :) sam
