OK, so I have to look for another solution to get analog controls. The problem is: Adding a CoreModule a la MB64 with an ainx2 for 14 pots would be very easily but .... to record the tweaks I do with the pots while I am playing ..... do I have to enable the internal MidiMerger of the SID-Core to get the mididata forwarded to the SID-Ouput again, or does the Sid Application send those nrpn even when it is controlled from outside without using the MidiMerger? I think that problems could occure when updating the firmware with the enabled midimerger. I hope you can help me. greetz EDIT: Can i tell the Midimerger to ignore sysex ? That would solve the problem I think.

Is there a way to integrate analog multiplexing? If this can't be integrated in a future RC, is it integratable by hand? EDIT: Perhaps the slave cores could "share" the analog inputs somehow ?!

Yes, I got the same problem. I solved this with a workaround over a virtual midi port. But it seems that the editor doesnt change the parameters in real time. I have to upload the patch to the box before i can recognize the changes I did.

If more than 3 MIDI interfaces are defined, the descriptors will exceed the 256 byte boundary and the device won't enumerate correctly. This means in other words: currently, all 5 IOs can only be used with the original descriptors which are stored in GM5 (-> remove EEPROM, set J1..J3 jumpers accordingly) Hoffe ich mal das Ploytech das noch ordentlich hinbekommt.

Könnte man diesen Treiber unter Umständen auch selber kompilieren, so dass das GM5 Modul nicht als USB-Audiogerät sondern zum Beispiel als MidiboxSIDoverGM5 oder so auftaucht? Wäre ne super Sache wenn ich daran denke, dass der Name USBAudiogerät wenn mehrere Geräte angeschlossen werden nur durchnummeriert wird. EDIT: Kommt der Treiber von Ploytech direkt oder von TK auf Basis der Ploytech Treiber?

First of all I have to say that i havent reaD THE Hole thread yet. buuut ..... ;P Don't you think this will cause more problems than we have? Over all its a very nice idea to have such a nice "all in one" solution, but do you really think that everybody is able to run this cd on their machines without problem and with all features? I don't think you can put all drivers in it. What about future drivers for coming hardware ? wlan sticks? sata hdds? raid systems? sata-raid? firewire sound interfaces. will this all work ? I dont want to tell this is a bad idea but i think its a not so easy idea if we dont want to fill this forum with linux stuff, because when somebody wants to use this cd he surely wants to play with all the things on it. And the more things and features this linux distro will have, the more probs are caused. What about the people with special machines that have components which dont accept one of all the drivers you put on this cd. I would ask the forum to help me, because people out of the forum came to this idea. And thats what I think is not so good at all because it will cause just pc configuration issues on this MIDIBOX forum. Some workaround for that could be a new category called somewhat with linux in it. So people with problems can post there. Are here enough keen linuxusers who will help the newbs under us. I suppose much of them (tha noobs). ;P

Is anybody here with spares of 2sc536 (2sa733 too) here ? I am searchin this part everywhere on the net but wasnt able to find it. Iknow the 733 can be found at mouser, but i hope i dont need to order just for that. I hope somebody can help me out with these. I would be also in for the grayhill switches and the usb chip if this bulk will cover these parts. greetz

jo das geht so. Wie gesagt, die ID der IIC Module ist unabhängig von denen des COre Modules. Du kannst aber auch noch die change_id Applikation (unter downloads) benutzen um die ID nachträglich zu ändern. Das ist dann sinnvoll wenn du mehrere Midiboxen hast, damit MIOS Studio erkennen kann auf welche Box du was senden willst. Hat deine nächste Box (insofern es eine geben sollte, ich hoffe doch ;P) die selbe ID UND ist mit deiner anderen gleichzeitig zB über ne Mehrfachsteckdose geschaltet, bekommst du Probleme wenn du was in MIOS Studio hochladen willst, da 2 Boxen beim Einschalten die selbe ID schicken. Aaaaber, die change_id Sache is für gänzlich Unerfahrene vielleicht etwas umständlich, da man im QUellcode suchen, ändern und dann kompilieren muss, was nich jedem so "im Blut" liegt, auch wenns für andere nur ein Klacks ist. Workaround: Wenn du die Boxen (wie gesagt wenn es mehrere werden sollten) über MIOSStudio ansprechen willst musst du darauf achten das nur diese eine Box angeschaltet ist. War jetzt vielleicht bissl viel Text für die "kleine" Sache, aber jeder der etwas mehr Equipment zu Hause stehen hat weiss denke ich das dauerndes "dinherkrabeln" und "rumfiddeln" weil man wo nich richtig drankommt sehr nerven kann, darum hab ichs mal erwähnt. Hoffe es hat geholfen ^^

Jo so hab das leider schon erwartet. :/ Nunja. Ich denke das könnte auch ein guter Anfang sein um mal in die MIOS Programmierung einzusteigen ^^. Sobald ich mein MidiboxPC zusammengebastelt habe werde ich mal anfangen mich mit MIOSProgrammierung auseinanderzusetzen. Hab früher mal in der Schule mit pascal und so ein paar schaltungen und programme gemacht, da wird sicher noch was vom logischen denken übrig sein ;P.

Hallo und willkommen im besten Forum der Welt ;P Genau ein solches Gerät bin ich am planen. Das Gerät soll quasi ein MIDI Effektgerät sein, in dem man transpose, octave, splitting und so alles einstellen kann. Dazu hätte ich gerne ein paar fx wie nen programmierbaren arpregiator, chorder, delay, multiple outs und so integriert. Allerdings muss ich mich erstma mit miosprogrammierung rumschlagen ;P EDIT: Wäre hier eine "gemoddete" sequencer version sinnvoll oder sollte man mit den sdccskeleton on the scratch beginnen ?

Die IDs der IIC Module werden wie du schon gesagt hast per jumper gesetzt. Die Device ID für Mios kannst du nach deinen Wünschen wählen. Da überschneidet sich nichts von "innen nach aussen" oder muss auf den iic modulen extra beachtet werden. Da kommt ne extra firmware drauf (was anderes wie mios) und dann noch die adressierung mim jumper. Du beschreibst hiermit das Verhalten wenn MIOS schon auf dem PIC aufgespielt wäre. Der Bootloader sollte sich alle 2 sec melden, insofern kein MIOS drauf ist. Hast du denn schon ein LCD angeschlossen ?

wir wissen wie miosstudio aussieht ;P nochmal: welche version bootloader? welche version miosstudio? welche versionen von mios etc hast du/benutzt du/versuchst du auszuspielen? Welche software und version ? was steht auf dem bild ? ;P lass dir doch nich immer alles aus der nase rausziehen. wir brauchen schon ein paar informationen um rauszufinden warum das nich geht. Gehe bitte ALLE troubleshooting tests durch, schick uns was da nicht geklappt hat. Dein letzter post hat leider absolut keinerlei Neuinformationen für uns. Ich will dich um Gottes Willen nicht schlechtmachen aber wir können dir nicht helfen wenn du uns nicht genug infos lieferst. Du veränderst Schaltpläne aber verstehst es nicht, uns deine Probleme zu beschreiben. In der grössten Not falls es mit Worten nicht so ganz klappen sollte mach doch ein youtube video ;P oder versuche uns eine art "tutorial" zu schreiben was du machst, so das wir auch wirklich wissen was du gerade machen willst und was die schritte davor waren. greetz PS: ALLE (!) Cant you build some kind of sender/receiver like this one:? http://www.winpicprog.co.uk/pic_tutorial_wireless_board.htm For the needed powersupply of your receivermodule you could either use batteries or that dc connector trick you've spoken of. Or put a "dout" into your stick and use the 4connector plug to supply Vd,S0,Sc,and rc. Vs could be connected over the "stick" itself. (or isnt this connected to the chassis anywhere?=) Hope this inspires you a bit to get your problem solved. peace

Also wie doc schon beschrieben hat, solltest du mit deinen Fehlerbeschreibungen etwas genauer sein. So bringt dir diese Meldung nämlich nicht MIOS (welches aufem PIC ist) sondern MIOSStudio (was aufem PC ist) ;) Dann wäre noch wissenwert ob du auch eine aktuelle Version von miosstudio benutzt? Kommt dein upload request sauber in 2 sec intervallen an ? Welche bootloader version is auf dem pic ? ...... 10K ? sollten beinahe in jeden gerät zu finden sein. schau dich doch mal um falls du elektroschrott hast.

i believe every usb port can deliver up to 500mA (=highpower) ( 100mA=lowpower ). So it IS a spec of the USB standard and not just for 2.0 . greetz
