  1. Very nice work! Especially with the V4 implementation!
  2. Whoa. Really, really can't express it how excited I am to see this teaser. TK, you friggin' rock. <3
  3. Thanks for the correction nILS, and thanks for nebula for the information. Can I assign a normal fader to work as a pitch bend, or does it need some specific hardware for such? And what would be the resolution of a normal fader, or is it something that can be configurable?
  4. Hey, sorry for (possible) thread hijacking, but I thought that there's enough threads concerning DJ-controllers. One thing that has puzzled my mind is that the resolution of MIDI is not big enough for pitch controlling. As Traktor is capable of controlling pitch +/-0.01% the resolution of MIDI is just not enough for precise pitch controlling (at least not for me). I'd love to be able to control the pitch at least 0.05% for +/-8%, which would lead to the need of 320 bits and MIDI has only 128 bits. I've understood that the OSC is not an option (at least yet) so I just wanted to ask people who know things better than me, is there other possibilities? ps. Sorry if I'm confusing some terms here, but I hope you get the big picture.
  5. Sounds lovely, waiting for the end-results with anticipation!
  6. Umm... Am I horribly wrong with this, or is this the right place to post the preorders for the PCB or the kit? If it is, count me in for 1 PCB and 1 KIT with PICs. Thank you, and thank you a lot for all who has done all this possible! Seriously, this is just so awesomely cool!
  7. Sorry for the late hopping on board, but I'm in for 3 of both! (edited the page, and seems like we need 8 chips and 1 pcb to get this started)
  8. I tried, oh high and mighty Stryd_one!!! Didn't just find the correct search words. :( Sorry, my bad.
  9. Hi! Just wanted to know is there any kind of connectivity possibilities with OSC on midibox-projects? I might have an idea for a controller if the connection is possible.
  10. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o O M F G. Could you post pics of the front-panel PCBs? Congrats. That's just amazing.
  11. Well, since I've been lurking for a while here, I thought that I could share some tracks from my projects. Most of them are produced with my now gone friend Jonny Jansson. Full-on psy-trance: http://tripteaser.solarians.org/mp3/tripteaser_-_games_in_trance_EXE_2005.mp3 http://tripteaser.solarians.org/mp3/SPOOKY_RCX2_LIVE0dB.mp3 http://tripteaser.solarians.org/mp3/madonna_-_music_(tripteaser_rmx_konemetsa06).mp3 Downtempo: http://www.solarians.org/solarians/mp3/magic_eightball_0db.mp3 http://www.solarians.org/solarians/mp3/urban hymn 0db.mp3 http://www.solarians.org/solarians/mp3/unissakavelija_-_wah_is_the_lounge.mp3 Hope you enjoy.
  12. The link to the mix doesn't work unfortunately. Would love to hear that.
  13. The International Prostitutes (Pussycat dolls)
  14. I just laughed my ass off. :D And, for clearing myself: That is good music. I liked it. A lot.
  15. It does?! Aww shit! Didn't know that, I just assumed you have to type the name of the parameter yourself. And you're right, Mackie C4 inspired me a lot. Although it doesn't seem to have everything I want...
  16. Well, listened the whole mix through, and I seriously gotta ask: Have you released anything commercially? Basically because this is some quality shit!
  17. Talking about audio-optimized distros, this one's my favourite: 64studio.com I decided that I'm gonna switch fully to linux when Ardour starts to support midi. :P
  18. Well, that explains a lot. Apparently gotta go linux with the music production. With linux sequencers, all sequencer-projects (except for Energy XT2) are Open Source, so I don't think that it would be impossible to implement such a feature on those sequencers. And as most sequencers run with JACK, it might be possible that you should not have to touch the source of the sequencer at all. Probably. At least that's what I'd assume. But, apparently I gotta start learning C. "I have a dream." ;)
  19. Sorry for the odd topic, but I just couldn't figure out how to put the thing I want to know in a one sentence. I've been having a dream about a specific kind of midibox. The description would be following: "A midi controller that could recognize VST(i)'s from the project that is open in the sequencer, and by which you can control parameters that are ready assigned for these VST(i):s." So, just to make things sure in the beginning, do you think it could be possible for the midibox to recognize VST:s? If not, could it be possible on other plugin format (e.g. LADSPA, DSSI, etc.)? Don't bail me straight away. You know I'm a n00b. :)
  20. Hi there! I have been dreaming for a long time to have a controller for Cubase, especially to control VST instruments and effects. Has anyone any experience of Cubase SX3, a MIDIbox 64E and possibly those new and fancy Device Panels? My dream would be to choose the controllable VSTi straight from the MIDIbox.
  21. Hi, I've been dreaming about a MBSID of my own, and one day such will be mine. Something has crossed my mind though. There is some info about usage of external filters such as CEM3378 of the moog filter, but if I reckon correctly they're both low-pass filters. So, is there possible to get a high-pass filter to MBSID? Otherwise, thank you for TK for making such a great job with MB!
  22. Is this topic possibly dead? Because this would be rather perfectly the thing I'm looking for!
  23. Umm... Too stupid question, or too hard for anyone to answer? Because I have searched almost everything I tried, and didn't find the answer to this. Please, enlighten me!
  24. Okay. Hi y'all! I am overwhelmed of this project, it's just so cool that it took my sleeping possibilities away. Thanks to TK! Now, I am planning to build a SidBox as soon as I get the money for the kits 'n stuff, but was wondering something before I went to bed (that's why I'm up at 2am writing this post): Is it possible to get parameter feedback for SidBox? I mean a parameter feedback in likes of Behringer BCR-2000 and BCF-2000, so that if some value changes in MIDI at the sequencer, it will change at the Box itself?
