  1. So I want to make a thing to stick on top of my head that is covered with LEDs that I can control via MIDI...the obvious choice for this seems to be the MIDIO128. Do I need any DIN boards or just 1 DOUT board for every 24 LEDs I want on my head? Can the DOUTs be configured easily so I can turn on the LEDs with note events? I'd like to sequence the lights with midi note on/offs, it seems like this would be easiest to implement and debug. ;D
  2. Sorry for the noob question...I haven't even started building my mbsid yet, but does the 303 mode allow you to have sequences that are shorter than 16 steps?....i use a lot of 3 step and 7 step 303 lines....acid polyrhythms rule! and can it be synced to incoming midi clock?
  3. ??? is it ok to use polyester caps instead of multilayer ceramic caps for c7 and c8 on the core module? -thanks jason
  4. that's cool...that's why I asked before just ordering it :) but I went ahead and ordered one of Limor Fried's midisense kits, which is a lot simpler to build anyway and she said she could get it to me by the weekend...I just need a few controller knobs thrown into my x0xb0x anyway, not the awesome expandability of the midibox.
  5. Hey All- I have a laptop battle in a couple weeks and I want to build a mini midibox inside my x0xb0x for more midi control...anyway I'm curious how long shipping takes in the US and how often he ships and if it takes time for kits to be be made, etc etc... -thanks! jason
