  1. i am interested in black or red if you offer more :) take contact on PM please
  2. this is so awsome! been thinking of building a monome, but I like this approach much better. would you be willing to share code and din/dout-mappings etc? also, where did you get those buttons?
  3. i also have a philicorda i want to midify. i found it on my work a few days ago. i have built a mb-sid before, but i have no clue where to start on this project. the philicorda is in good physical shape, but is non-working. i still havent had the time to open it up. anyhow.. im watching this thread wioth great interest. if im getting this to work someday, my plan is to expand my sid to 8 chips and house it in the philicorda casing. btw. mine only has one "row" of keys and is quite compact.
  4. While surfing on the net I came across a really interesting product. It is a stomp-like midiclock that you tap to sync your gear. It is called Playtec 34oneII http://www.ploytec.de/34oneII/. I want to build something similar using midibox hardware, but my programming skills are very poor. I figure one would only need a core. would be nice to add some blinking leds to indicate the tempo and maybe also lcd. Any ideas? Can this easily be done easily?
  5. This is the coolest idea I have heard for a long time. I have been wanting to do something similiar, oly with my guitar. The soulution I came up with was rolands midi pickup system.. To expencive for now....
  6. i would like one too for my newly finished 2x sid in breadbox :)
  7. everything works just fine... the error only comes when i change windows and only when i press "save changes".. up and downloading of patches works prefectly. im going to try it on a windows laptop here now.
  8. Yes, that is the way I change windows. On my previous post i attached the errorlog btw. more detailed info there.
  9. Nice application that makes life easier! I have not fully finished my CS yet, so this is just what I need. However, I have some problems with the application crashing most of the time when i change from the editor window back to the list of presets. I am running it on a fresh install of Ubuntu Linux. I tried to run it from a terminal to get some clue to what was wrong... This is what I got.... # # An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment: # # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x7e3b7f24, pid=7299, tid=2113928080 # # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (11.0-b15 mixed mode linux-x86) # Problematic frame: # C [libasound.so.2+0x94f24] snd_rawmidi_read+0x24 # # An error report file with more information is saved as: # /home/tommy/Desktop/hs_err_pid7299.log hs_err_pid7299.log.txt hs_err_pid7299.log.txt
  10. I am also interested if someone would send two to Norway... :P
  11. hey, thanks for the offer! After some research (ucapps chat:) I discovered that there are several on the c64 motherboard, so I desoldered one from that. Didnt solve the problem, though :(
  12. Quick question. I think a busted diode on my core is the reason I cant recieve midi to the core. its D1... on the schematic it says 1N4148... i dont have such parts here, but i have managed to desolder a diode from the c64 circuitboard. it says ZP 03 VO... can i use it on the core? ???
  13. seems like I jumped to conclusions there...
  14. I am using a heatsink. Its the one smash sells. when i power on it gets to hot to touch after about 15 min. Will try to build the circuit you linked to. I have the regulators here. No capacitators though so will have to order. Do you guys know if someone sells "sets" of the most used sort of caps? I have noticed that some values are very common... Thanks for a super reply :)
  15. Bump! Anyone checked this out? My 7805 gets incredibly hot.. im feeding it with 15 volts so i can use the same wallwart for core and sid
  16. Im stuck at the exact same problem. I am pretty sure that in my case the error is a malfunctioning octocoupler. I used these two links to diagnose. http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_core_midiin_debug.gif http://www.ucapps.de/howtodebug/mbhp_core_extract_out_led.gif Hope this helps.
  17. how incredibly cool. looks stunning too! I am looking for a project like this to build. For ableton live triggering and sequencing. Waiting eagerly for more info! :)
  18. nice effort! when this project is a bit more documented im going to try and make my own. I have been looking for something like this for ages!
  19. just thought i should show you a commercial product for inspiration. Have you ever seen the Gigrig switchers? http://www.thegigrig.com/acatalog/TheGigRig_MIDI-8_Black.html
  20. Exiting project! Been looking for something like this to build for quite some time :o
  21. Hello. I would reccomend paying the extra and get the full version of the delta 1010. I have two of them, and the breakout-box is really nice. Stable drivers and good sound also.
