  1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250145078840 This tool is a must for midibox users... Crimping Tool for Sil, Dil & D-Sub Connectors I bought it for only €18 inc p+p from the U.S. to Europe, and received it within a week. I could not buy it locally, maplin's do not stock these unfortuneatly, and ive seen these sold for as much as €50 elsewhere online! So im extremely satisfied with this seller, he was really nice and sent the exact specs quickly after i asked him. Unlike in the pic, it came new in original packaging and supports the following: AWG 26-28, 33-26, 14-22, 10-22 Check out Smash TV's Crimping Guide and also this crimping guide for instructions on how to use this tool. You can buy these crimps direct from Smash TV's Store
  2. Mine arrived this morning also. Nice packaging, Fast Shipping, Excellent communication AAAAA++++++ etc... :P Thanks dude! These things are much smaller than i expected lol, tricky dudes to solder i'd imagine.
  3. Sasha that is very nice indeed, and ive never seen a controller so dedicated to ableton before. Do commercial controllers like this exist? I honestly never seen one so suited to ableton. Jeez man, better license the design if thats the case, i could easily see a company cloning it.
  4. Lol! I should of said im no expert, i havent linux installed! A friend just recommended it to me. Im too lazy to install linux really, more effort than its worth when windows does what i want (50% of the time :P )!
  5. im no expert, but 64Studio is a linux distro dedictated to Audio & Video Production. http://www.64studio.com/ It can even host vsts which is a linux first im pretty sure, not all work but its a start. Heres a pic of it running NI B4:
  6. Some infos too on this guys page: http://little-scale.blogspot.com/search/label/pokey
  7. Would love to see some pics. EDIT: This vid might be iof nterest to you. A guy whos sending FOR statements to the pokey from a microcontroller and coming up with some interesting sounds He explains it more in the info: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=aRCPOhP-V7M Some Cool sounds in between the gaps. I praticularly love from 3:20 onwards Sounds very aphex-like. Great for the circuit benders and glitch lovers out there id imagine.
  8. Shhhh dont say jail, you're "threatening him". :P Funny you mention sales mean profit actually. In the rare case they mean huge losses, take Microsofts XBox for example! They lost money on every console sold! D'oh! *sandbox post* i know lol.
  9. I was making it clear that you still need permission from the creater to make a sale. Droolmaster said that he got most of his money back so the sale became "non profit" then according to him. ;) Which he thought made everything alright.
  10. More like see how quick you are to judge "ppl" you never knew. You came on and insulted him straight off without even giving him a chance to understand the Midibox Policy. Insults should never be used in this community, it is a professional community from I've seen, and it doesnt take 1000 posts to see that. ::) I gave him a chance to understand why what he did is wrong, and what is good and bad for the community. If another buyer is in the same boat in the future, they may have some empathy, and stop disagreeing with the facts of the legality of this situation. And it may sink into their heads that Non Profit sales are also illegal, unless they have the permission of the creator. ;) And that there is another way of buying a completed Midibox legally which has being explained to them previously. ;) If this thread should of being locked first day then maybe insulting users like you should be banned too. ;)
  11. Im pretty sure Smash's price of that PIC is the most competitive, according to TK in the wiki. A chip search engine revealed all higher prices, but this was at the time TK wrote that message so things may have changed.
  12. Im living in europe myself, and id choose smash over Mike any day of the week. hes in the chatroom everyday, and goes that whole extra step further to help the community.
  13. Yea, "Sahira" likes them! ;D :P That was funny actually in Slice's documentary on Richie Hawtin. Richie Mother was saying that the father would say "hey lets get this toy for Richie". A few months later then his dad would open it up to see whats inside it! :)
  14. Man that front panel is (excuse the pun) a work of Art. :-* I have never seen such a detailed, colourful and unique looking front panel design. Id love to do something abstract like that myself. Well done! And cant wait to see it finished.
  15. Email notification is working now again! :)
  16. Is it okay if you steal this guys idea you mean! ;) http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=8963.0 Edit: Just realised that you might want to use the custom psu & bankstick circuit!
  17. Lol! I sure didnt see that one coming! :)
  18. Lol, youre a slave to a challenge then! :P
  19. Even if it cant be rack mountable i think a stand alone version should still be considered for people who dont want the keyboard. At least if theres the option of both youll have more people interested.
  20. That might be an idea alright. Is there any good manufacturer sites for knowbs out there? Colourful ones? Ive searched global spec but the sites ive looked at had pretty boring types. Would love something similar to the Albs.
  21. Its a pity albs dont make other colours! Would love to get my hands on some green knobs to go with a Green on black LCD (not the green-yellow kind). Ah well. :-\
  22. Agreed, its a very complex synth indeed. I wonder whats in line for V3? ;) Maybe TK will add a SEQ, for more convenient programming of the drums & bassline mode, sort of like the MB-808! Hehe. :)
  23. AH SO THATS WHY THEY CALL IT.....! Thanks for the info man!
  24. Oooooo, those 128's are big bastards arent they!
