  1. Dude, sweeeeet! DMed of course :) Thanks, that's very kind of you to offer to help out.
  2. Also looking for a set of programmed PICs for my MB-6582 build, located in Vancouver Canada. Plz ping me if you can help me out! Not a huge deal tho, guess I can buy a PicKit if I have to haha
  3. Ahhh nice, OK, I was leaning towards this approach and I think you helped me finalize that choice. haha :) Thanks!
  4. Hey @dwestbury -- looking at your photo you have the header at J1A.. I assume this setup was only during the build (correct me if I'm wrong) ... What did you end up doing for the final product? Did you put a DIN socket and use a DIN plug for your power supply like others on here, or did you do something else?
  5. I guess I'm probably best off to wait until kits are ready and order PCBs + Kit at the same time, eh? No use to waste $$/effort on shipping two seperate packages ...
  6. it will just be taxes. same thing happened to me when I bought some DIY kit before, and I had to pay like $50 CDN in taxes, based on the value of the package I received. :\
  7. Yup just got mine.. woot! Nice feel. Grippy enough, but still sleek and a good design. Now I just need.. hmm.... everything else! ;)
  8. Whoa, that was like the shortest group buy ever. 3 or 4 days?? hahaha ;) Not that I wanted in, but just looking and realized the initial post was only made a few days ago... hehehe
  9. Hey, messaged you back with my details. Sorry about that, hadn't checked my email for a week or so! ;)
  10. Alright, added myself up for 15x of the white ones. :)
  11. I assume this is for North America, or at least result can be shipped to there (western Canada specifically, for myself). I've added myself to the list. :)
  12. Note that you could take the PCB layout files made by Wilba and have them custom made by a local shop, if you had to. Might be worth doing since it doesn't seem like anyone is giving up their PCBs. ;)
  13. Good stuff, thx for the update man. Pretty interested to see/hear how things go with the control board. :)
  14. Yup, I stopped buying off eBay because of this. Now I only search within Canada, basically. So much for free trade, etc. :P
  15. Got your invoice Wilba, and have sent payment. Ahh the Canadian dollar is good right now, it seems! :)
  16. True enough, just that Wilba said in that other thread that all the 6582s were already sold :\
  17. OK, good to know. But yeah, true enough, I do agree with that perspective (no point in getting panels made before having PCBs in hand). I guess I'm just trying to plan ahead in case there's an extremely long wait before another set of PCBs are made (to the extent that I'm looking into what I'll have to do to make the PCBs, panels, and find all of the components myself.. haha) ;) Ahh, now to appeal to all my friends and see if they have any old C64s laying around... ;)
  18. Ahh thanks for that info. I did see your FPD files, but that didn't seem to really match what I was seeing on the recent panels group-buy.. I guess i could always edit the file to match more closely, but then that's risky because it might not match the PCB properly. Well, I guess if you DO update the file(s) , please post somewhere on the forum to let us know... I know you are super busy so I don't expect that of course but it would be awesome. As for it being pricy to get the PCBs/panels made one-off, well, the MB-6582 is just too cool for me to pass up, despite my lack of electronics experience. Just that I seem to have missed basically all of the group buys so I'll be kinda on my own anyways... haha :(
  19. Ahh craaapp so I missed out on this... is there a design file I could use to get the panels printed myself by a local company, or something? Or else maybe there will be another group buy on these? Heh.. :\ S'what I get for showing up late to the party, eh? ;)
  20. Hi there, please count me in for 1x kit with PICs , email is necro2607 at gmail . :)
