  2. Hey Martin, ik heb wel interesse in je DIN en DOUT boards...
  3. Thnx dr dude...read your profile at SC...you're a madman...;) Do you know where my sister is? :) But anyway....normally i only use my pc for sequencing and not for sampling activities....got a lot of outboard gear but i'm in the middle of rearraging my studio....check my myspace for my gear list....also all mixing in this track was done in the box.....and to be quit honest i tried to get sidechaincompression in Cubase (i use SX2) with my Waves bundle but routing this is a hell and i never got it to work so f*ck it.....i just dont like DAW's.....

  7. Hi guys, finished SIDDER last week finnally so i made a test track.....i've started to listen to dubstep a while back and especially tracks by Joker and The Widdler draw my attention..... So check out this track made with my SID station....the stuff is sequenced by Cubase and i'm using Battery as my sampler for the drums....please leave some comments but keep in mind that this is a track in progress.....this track contains samples from the album Nobody Does It Better by The DOC and samples from the movie Hellraiser. http://soundcloud.com/wifi/thisisthashit-viruz-unknown
  8. First post of the OT is here in the fleamarket and only gives a link to an ebay auction......man o man....
  9. So it's been a loooooooong time since i've touched the SIDDER baby, but got some spare time again so i'm going to continue this build.....finally...;) Anyways another idea came to mind to add some analogue controls on it.....but i have to say that the documentation about this subject is poor.....the information there is i've already read but some questions came up.... So.... Can i only use J5 of the master core? And how about the slave core, can i use J5 of that core as well? Or only just the master? If not do i have to clamp all the inputs of the slave to ground? If I would connect like let's say 5 faders, because only the first 5 inputs are used, 3 are left unused for future purposes and have to be clamped to ground. So fader 1 goes to D0, 2 to D1 etc where does the return wire go? To Vs? I'm just thinking to add 5 jack connections to the case of SIDDER and route these analog control elements outside. Then i can connect whatever i want to them..... And guys it's good to be back. :)
  10. I don't know with which program you designed your frontpanel. For Richard's machine it requires a design made in Coreldraw since this is the program the laser cutter reads. So if you have a design, make it in Coreldraw. Then is just a matter of sending the cdr (extension name from corel) to Richard along with your requirments concerning color scheme. I know Richard is now busy updating the site with all the information you guys need and he is active on this site but he's a busy guy. I'll keep you updated in this thread......
  11. Yeah Richard ownes his own laser cutter....he has a company that does all kinds of promotional stuff and dtp work. Also good for stickers etcetera..... And i don't know if Richard is already active on this forum.....i'll be seeing him next week for my 9090 with MB SEQ so i'll ask him.
  12. OkayOkay the sound wasn't that bad but it just wasn't my thing a midi driven 303.....i just love things with its own sequencer....works fast more portable.......but first i have to complete some other diy before i start building my own x0xb0x....
  13. No English isn't my first language and i know that table isn't the right thing to say in English....but here in Holland we do call them tables just like you call your wife honey.....get my drift..... the normal term is indeed mixing console or desk but i just translated the Dutch word for it......and because they are big we call them tables......just don't eat from them....don't even come near with your drinks, food etc..... But i'll take reservations ;) what 6 people you say that can be arranged in DenDer Acid Diner or as we call it D.A.D. ;)
  14. I know!!! I'm happy as a child in a kindergarten :D I have been reading up on these tables and most people are very positive about them.....they don't color as much as lets a Neve or SSL....but you can't compare this to one of those......this is a midrange table but is close to highrange......mostly it's the size that people don't want thjese tables and i've seen adds of the same table from 750 - 1000 euro for one with work, and up to 2000 euro for a fully restored one. They are very quiet tables to with low noise and great headroom...... And since its totally modulair build i can design the table any way that i want and if a channel fails it's easy to repair to. Just take out the channel strip it won't effect any of the other channel strips..... And with this Floating Sub System it's easy to create extra busses and groups...... At the moment i'm cleaning the whole table and this means in DenDer vocabulairy that i'll take out one strip take it apart and clean it all......i don't think this table has ever been cleaned like this in 20 years or so....this table is from 1986.......also be doing some recapping and takes notes on what has to be substituted in the future...... maybe even thinking about upgrading it's opamps......maybe. Whieeeeeeee post 303 !!!!
  15. Yeah, on every channel you got standard a VU led meter......check photo.....this is not mine but from Chinetti (Orgue Electronique).... i got the same one as him. I just want to keep everything as analog as possible so no DAW for me.... Really the EQ is impressive on this table as is his transparant character.......okee here and there it has got a creak and some pots need replacing.....but the headquarters of D&R is just 20 km from my home and Duco is very helpfull as is his staff.
  16. Thats the one......thats the one that "reads"the incoming midi signal. And if you desoldering it again put it in a socket......really. These opto's get busted a lot.....so really try this first before sending it back to PAIA. Good luck man. ;)
  17. I just want to share this with you guys..... I have been looking around for a bigger mixer and yesterday there was an add on a Dutch site offering a "defect" D&R Dayner 34-8-4 with FSS (Floating Sub System) for just € 100,-. So called up a girlfriend and borrowed her car to get this baby. And these tables are big!! Almost 140 cm wide and weighing a ton. At the guys house we had to move this table two stairs down and eventually i paid € 75,- for it because we started talking and he needed an Atari, which i have but don't use anymore. The table just fitted inside a Seat Ibiza with my nose tagged on the speedo and that for 120 km....pfffffff But............... Tday i powered it up hooked up the almighty Pro One and what do ya now it's working.... :D.... aux, subs tha whole shabang......... I'm so bloody happy :) but one down side i have to sleep in the kitchen nowadays :( :P
  18. Nice work....to bad it won't receive anything. Did you consider to swap the optocoupler? They are prone to get busted.....so get some at your local supplier and ttry ot swap them.
  19. Instead of using a BA6xx VCA they made a VCA constructed out of a transistor circuit. He (the inventor of the TBS-303) told me this.....recently i visited him because he was selling some HOSA snake cable. They totally stopted production a while ago....you know kids and stuff......but Twin you also live in N-H right? He's from Zwaag near Hoorn. The story goes that the famous Syntecno TeeBee which is also from the Netherlands was copied from that TBS-303 pcb circuit. There was a huge riot at that time because Syntecno thought the TBS guys copied their midikit......something like the chicken and the egg story..... @ Kartoshka is this so? I thought 6110 is a clone from the 662......but maybe you're right and the specs are the same of both chips..... @ Sasha I love the way your x0x looks btw.
  20. Why not?? I have one lying around here just for that special occasion that i'm gonna build a x0x......i also got rid of my TBS because it just didn't sound right.... And the nice thing is a friend just gave the BA662 to me :)
  21. Does it have the BA662 on board?
