  1. Any spare boards kicking around? Or anyone else keen on 1? May place an order from OshPark (3x min). Props @Altitude for putting this together
  2. Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a seq cs board unpopulated, if anyone has a spare lying around. Feel free to pm :-) Delivery would be to NZ. Cheers Sam
  3. Cool, thanks for answering my questions and posting so soon.
  4. Hi all :-) Just curious how this project progressed? Been a couple of years since ilmenator gifted us the design. Which looks pretty damn awesome. I'm keen to build one! Few Q's tho. Couldn't determine from the wiki if the matrix allows for channel routing and event filtering? As I'd want to send clock to most/ all devices from 1 source. Also curious if specific ports can be accessed via the stfm USB midi? (for using pc based synth editors etc) I have 12 or so synths + a few effects units, and a collection of of sequencers, seqV4, squarp pyramid, qy700, md uw. Currently I'm using a Motu express 128 along with midi ox which is ok but not ideal imo. Need to turn on the pc, then routing all that data through in and out of a pc doesn't fill me with confidence in terms of latency and keeping a tight and stable clock signal.
  5. hmm.. probably not worth the hassle for one.. thanks Lamouette!
  6. Forgot to add these in my last order and can't justify the minimum $40 shipping from mouser.. can't find at any other distributor with free shipping.. Hoping a kind soul may have some spares? Ideally would like 4.. 2 would do :) Residing in Auckland, NZ http://nz.mouser.com/ProductDetail/E-Switch/TA12-RED/?qs=%2fha2pyFaduhfNPKu0PX%2bl%2fnO7DtPcxo4Zu6JTpG256w%3d http://nz.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=PE_RDvirtualkey61170000virtualkey611-PERD
  7. +1 for this feature! I encountered a similar issue a while back while trying to layer drum sounds of my machinedrum and emu morpheus. Figured it was due to latency differences between the devices, not so noticeable with synths, becomes more evident with percussion though as the transients are much tighter. I guess if this feature were available you'd have to keep in mind you'd be sacrificing latency for synchronization, but I'd be ok with that ;)
  8. fantastic, thanks for the explanation, much appreciated!
  9. Hi Guys, Nice build eptheca! I'm midway through a SEQV4 build with optrex displays myself and could use some help regarding the 5K trimmer backlight mod on the stm32f4 core board as I don't want to screw it up! What would be the ideal part and method for the mod on this board? remove bc337 & resistors, add bridge remove P1 (LUMI) 10k trim pot, Could we then mount this part where P1 was? http://nz.rs-online.com/web/p/trimmer-resistors/5219580/ Mfr. Part No. 3296P-1-502LF Bourns 3296P Series 25-Turn Trimmer Resistor, 5kΩ ±10% 1/2W ±100ppm/°C Also could I ask how the 2 lcds are connected from the J15A pin out in eptheca's pic? :huh: (confused) Thanks for any help offered!
  10. Hi :) Not sure if this is the best place to post? and since I don't think its a midibox related part, but here goes, I'm trying to find a replacement mosfet TrenchMOS transistor PHP50N06LT for a novation nova laptop synth. I've queried a few places but you know, minimum orders are 100+ I'd be happy with an alternative but with my limited electronics knowledge 'solder only realy' I wouldn't know what attributes are important looking at the data sheet: www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/philips/PHD50N06LT.pdf Any help greatyly appreciated :) Nova Malfunction synopsis I think I have traced its sometimes erratic behaviour and suspected 'over heating' issues to a cold joint on this part (movement), which is too close to the back of the power switch on the unit really, so switching it on sometimes causes a malfuntion, and other times does not. "speaker destorying noise" I suspect however the reason for the loose joint may have been due to the part overheating, from what I've read they have a thermal shutdown feature of somekind. I haven't fully dissambled the unit for a proper look yet but I could see evidence of what looked to be oxidation on the heatsink.
  11. I'm in for 1 anodised and 1 black, if possible please :)
  12. Rad :) thanks /tilted/ ;) Cool case design Doug.. I especially like the rackmount/tabletop output solution... I have an MS2000BR this would look very sexy next to... :P stryd_one, Wilba, thanks guys.. I should probably have crosschecked the specs more thoroughly before asking if they were suitible... This will be my first midibox project so.... Please bear with some of my newbish questions...
  13. Awesome ! Wicked design wilba !, :o I'm in.. ! (Although I'm having trouble adding my name to the list) Also might get a pair of these... they would look nice, in there.... :P http://www.optrex.com/products/partdetail.asp?PartNumber=C-51850NFQJ-LG-ACN Are they suitible ? Peace. {NZ Newb}
