  1. DNXMIDI is near the hardware complete stage. Onto the programming,

  2. Hi Guys, I had a search around and had trouble finding an answeer to a question that has puzzled me for a while. I am currently in the middle of converting a Denon DN-X1500 from an audio mixer into a full MIDIBOX Traktor controller. I have done most of the work but am stuck in knowing how a rotary switch would work with this. I am wanting to have a 4 pos switch that will allow me to select between the 4 decks in tracktor pro. Say pos 1 is deck 1 active, pos 2 is deck 2 and so on. Now, having a DIN and AIN board, I was thinking of putting it on the DIN and having the 4 pos going to the seperate connections on the DIN. BUT this is where my head hurts a little... Does it matter if the connection on the DIN is left closed on the rotary switch? So and normal switch is contact then off, but the rotary will be left connected. Will this effect the midi selection in Traktor? Again, sorry if this has been answered, I was unable to find a post that related. Cheers in advance.
  3. LEGEND!!! Is all I can say, Great work. Regards, Evan
  4. Hi guys, Here is another pic of what you have advised. Regards, Evan
  5. Hi Phil, C:\MSYS\1.0\bin ;C:\Program Files\CodeSourcery\Sourcery G++ Lite\bin this is the PATH that is under the system variables. Msys\1.0\bin has the make.exe inside it. The error I get is "'make' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" I had removed everything after I found out that I used the 8bit and not the 32bit tut. Once this has been done I cannot also run the make -version in command, This can only be run in the MSYS prompt now. Here is a screen shot of what is going on, Hope it helps.
  6. ok ok, I am getting there but now when the tut asks me to edit PATH under User variables, I do not have a PATH under this variables. I understand that this PATH maybe different from pc to pc but how would I get this PATH to show? If I have to create a new value, what should be in this PATH? Regards, Evan UPDATE: Since this I have just continued on and just added the PATH from system into user. I have made it to the end but I am still unable to use make. Sorry to be a noob for everyone. Wish I could just get it to work. If you need any more information please just let me know and I will provide as much as I can.
  7. What a :frantics: nut. Thanks for that and I will just try again. lol Cheers
  8. Hi guys, I like this thread, It has helped me setup the core tools on my computer and to input all the variables. One issue I am having and I am not sure where I have gone wrong. In CMD I can run make -version and I get the relevant information about make. But when I goto the .svn depo that I have installed onto my C: and goto the tut dir and then type make, I get an error saying that make is an invalid command or exe so on. I followed everything here Core Toolchain Setup Does any of the great programmers here have an idea of where I might start to look? I have just got my Core32 and am willing to get the tuts started so I can complete this monster of a project. Regards, Evan
  9. Hay there world. Just a question that I could not find the answer to. A Core8 can have ID's assinged to them so the computer can identify the two. Now with using multiple Core32's to the one Pc, how is this acheaved? Now my plan and why I ask this question is that I wish to make some controllers to control my soft synths and some plug-ins. As there will be around 4 - 5 Core32's connected to the Pc as seperate devices, how will the computer tell the different Cores apart from each other? Cheers.
  10. Yeah Typo on that one. Thanks for the reply's. Just another question. I have looked and I cannot find any info on the dimensions of the Module's, Need these to see if they will fit under the hood. Sorry if it is clear as day somewhere and if it is could I pleae be pointed to that page. Thanks again. oh and if anyone would like to read more about this, I have started a blog and will track the whole process. www.spiltmidi.com click on project. Please note that site is not completed.
  11. I am making this Controller/Mixer to help me improve my skills in Djing and also to make a all in one device to take along to gigs instead of lugging alot of equipment around with me. I am hoping to be able to complete this in a timely manner. Original http://spiltmidi.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/denon_dnx15000-small-294x300.jpg Modded Mixer http://spiltmidi.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/denon-dnx1500-Change-small-294x300.jpg Total Pots = 12 Total Buttons = 20 Total Encoders = 4 Midibox parts. 1 x Core (Not sure if it should be Core32 or Pic Core) 1 x AIN Module – 12 Pots 1 x DIN Module – 4 Encoders and the 20 Buttons 1 x Dout Module - LCD What I would like to know, Because I have no knowledge about code and programming, What core would be the easiest for me to program? Thanks in advance guys.
  12. Just what I needed and was looking for. Thanks alot for your help Thorsten. Great work. :console:
  13. Hi Guys and Gals, Now i am a little stuck on my research and i have looks as hard as I can (Unless I was lazy from lack of sleep from research). I am looking into using a Core32 instead of a PIC Core. My question, I have looked at the Schematic's for both cores, Now I want to connect a AINx4 to the Core32. While you look at the Schematic for the PIC core you can see that the AINx4 connects to J5 on the core and the AINx4. On the Core32 I can see that the J5 on the AINx4 board can connect to J5A/B/C on the Core32 but where would I connect the J6 ABC of the AINx4? On the PIC Core it is RC, SC, SI. I cannot find (Unless overlooked) Where they would connect on the Core32. Thanks in advance.
  14. Pondering about the STM32 connecting to a AIN Module
