  1. Hello Andy, What is the CS1 original purpose? Could be fine for CS development , no? Best Bruno
  2. @zener Nobody has the time and the technical means to do it all, for free. You will notice that despite that we take the time to answer you, which is to our credit. Now stop procrastinating and start! You will see that we are perhaps not the best teacher in the world, but you will always find someone to help you here !!! Again, if you do not try, you'll never know if all you're told is true! These are my last words on this subject. Best regards Bruno
  3. We agree on everything, we can continue to philosophize and stay in the abstract, but concretely when do you start? If you used differently the time and the energy that you spent on this topic, your first box would already be finished ;) I'm wrong? Best!
  4. It's a shame that the new generation does not open a book and absolutely need video to start something! Remember "We are a secret society" we can not appear on a video! :) And by definition, a beginner is someone who starts something ;) Have a good night...
  5. We can already put JPA0 on top. maybe put silkscreen too? Best regards Bruno
  6. I received the LEDs from ebay (dokuwiki link). It is alive! Best regards Bruno
  7. Waow!!! Last time I saw this was in THX-1138 ! Old school! I just google it : Seems someone did it with 74HC595(DOUT) He uses some K1551D1 bcd driver between the two, which is equivalent to 74141, good luck and like Latigid On said "Take care!" https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1CPUkh94AtmQzA4Smx5Nnprc2s/edit Best Bruno
  8. Hi everybody! I'm lucky to be able to try the first boards, thank you Andy! They work perfectly. But as I use it in development mode (all naked) I took the initiative to make a small and simple support, it keeps the boards together and protects it from a short circuit. the devPlate. I use plastic spacers to support the boards, the spacers are filed so that the cards fit inside a little bit less than 1 mm. This is the dxf file, you can use it freely: 1801_wCore_devPlate_v1b.dxf Best regards Bruno
  9. Okay! We were right, it works fine. Yesterday, I think I needed to sleep, I forget resistors... Then 2 resistors are enough to replace this boxes. This is it: Solved and I saved 60€ :) Thank you Peter, have a good WE! Bruno
  10. Thank you Peter, You're right, I didn't mention it, first is an empress reverb, second is a meris polymoon. their 'midibox' supports both brand. i tried to connect directly to the MIDI pin of the Core, nothing. Tomorrow I will put an inverter between the two. But I will not search deeper, it would be stupid to burn a pedal like this for that price... If it doesn't work I will buy this interface next month from disaster area 59€. :/ But! Once I've got it I will open it and share what there's exactly inside. Best regards Bruno
  11. Somebody knows? Before I open one of the effects and maybe do something stupid?
  12. Any low noise single rail op amp is fine... But you can use dual rail op amp, it doesn't matter here. All the circuit has an offset of 6V (12V/2). For 9V supply the 6V offset becomes 4,5V, for 14V supply it's 7V. LM387 is an old IC, this book too(1989).
  13. A1 is summing both channel before detection, A2 is the detection and control the LM13600. This is for regulation, to replace a 7805, if I well understand.
  14. Yes you're right. This is another one, stereo, single rail, based on LM13600. Best Bruno
  15. Hi, Seems not enough, SID Audio out is 2Vpp. http://www.sidmusic.org/sid/sidtech3.html I found this schematic in an old book, this is mono but you can maybe use 2 circuit in // and a TL084 instead of two TL082. Best Bruno PS: tell me if you need translation from french.
  16. Hello, I've got a question! I was about to buy a small interface box for two of my effects. but when I saw the price I thought that there was probably not much in it and that I could have everything I needed to tinker with one. Someone has already opened one of these boxes? I suspect they have just put an optocoupler and distribute the logic level on the Jack outputs? And Empress call their one, midibox Thank you Bruno
  17. You're welcome. To complete, It's an old topic, but the original one from TK ;)
  18. Many manufacturers don't answer when it's too low quantity. But it's them for sure, http://www.heidenreich.de/english/products/group_06/variant_b/dates_dimensions.html The product is not discontinued. But they sell the whole enclosure(not only the angle, which are proprietary). Seems 10 set minimum. @Airyck this is from their site ;) Best regards, Bruno
  19. Hi all! I spent the day trying to get clean BOM on Mouser for a future( pretty close now ;) SeqV4+ ! I just modify and complete what it was already made by @latigid on and @Smithy I separate the components by boards as it is on the Dokuwikkii. They are editable by everyone. Update it in case of reference unavailable or if you find something wrong or missing. "1801_" is the date ;) Don't order it without checking a few, and maybe you can remove some 595 or DIN socket you surely already own ;) - 1801_wCore-Main - 1801_wCore-USB - 1801_wCore-SD - 1801_Midi8 - 1801_Midi-I2C - 1801_Seq _leMec (two sets are required) - 1801_Seq _Enc (two sets are required) - 1801_Seq _Jog Good shopping! Bruno PS: I forgot the Line Driver I will do it later, or if someone ... it's very small boards ;)
  20. You're right it doesn't affect it, SW debounce just let some times for the inputs to stabilize, in counterpart we loose reactivity, it's a balance to find depending on the hardware, and encoder quality of course ;) Note: PEC12 and PEC16 are not equivalent(replacement), I also never get any trouble with the PEC16 which is bigger and more solid than the PEC12. Alright! An interesting article. https://hifiduino.wordpress.com/2010/10/20/rotaryencoder-hw-sw-no-debounce/
  21. No I made it when the disco version of the core was difficult to find, before Latigid on version too. it's useless now. All of this informations are in the datasheet, you can get a good idea of what is the minimum by studying all the board which are on the market, more than that you need to know what you will have to connect to it and keep the pinout compatible with the MIOS32. What is your exact needs and your real constraints for such a board? Are you sure the Wavecore can not fit your design? in all honesty I know we are on an open-source platform. but to create such a pcb is a lot of time and work, I'm going to have a little trouble letting it go like that ;) Best Bruno
  22. Hello Chris, salut Jerome ;) Chris, you can use any prototyping board which support STM32F407V, for using the existing MIOS32 drivers you just need to respect the pinout. @latigid on already proposes an alternative to the disco Best Bruno.
  23. :) This is sure for me, if both versions are available, I will wait for the one with menu at the left...
