  1. Hi Jaytee, Ok, it's simple, there's a infrared led and an infrared detector in the same package. The light will reflect on an object and come back to the detector. In fig.8 page 5 of the datasheet you will see the response between the object position and detector collector current. best response is for distance d in the range of 0 to 4 mm which is exactly the length travel of a cherry MX, now the 'object' where the light reflect is the moving part of the MX, you just have to cut the bottom centering plastic pin of the MX and place the detector under the center of the MX, MX mechanical The sharp detector works better with red object, you just have to buy red model which is a linear one. See Mikroelectronika color demo For electronic you just need a dual comparator chip to detect 2 separated threshold(one high one low) and timer counter between the two, it's the way I will follow in my test. 2. Hi jaytee, There's a lot of other idea on the web, I was looking for a velocity sensitive switch solution too. The best I found is using hall effect sensor: https://deskthority.net/workshop-f7/analog-numpad-with-hall-effect-sensors-t11191.html#p331469 But this solution is a little bit tricky because of the magnet. I'm already working on another solution which uses an infrared reflective sensor sharp GP2S700, always with cherry MX(red linear model ;). Today I just ordered a small pcb to test it. Can tell you back the result if you're interested. BR Antichambre
  3. Hi Mongrol, Just check the two IC on your mbhp, remove it and try again. Change the guilty one. Maybe one is shorting the power and passing the usb protection switch in faulty mode. Best regards Antichambre
  4. Remember me the atmosphere of the old compilation "Cashier Escape Route"... Great!
  5. Ohhh sorry :/ Of course you can, if you've got the time for that... If not I will do it before putting somebody else in the same mistake. And you can change the brand it doesn't matter. Thank you. Antichambre
  6. Hi Yogi, is this error in the mouser BOM I shared? Antichambre
  7. No it seems to be good, manager scans all your port at startup, it tries to find a TIA with ID=0. All is gray because it didn't find anything. No MB-TIA connected(still in red). You know that it's not the TIA chip which communicate with the manager, then if you've got a CORE push the FW inside, and try again. It must work with the internal preset(patch) without BS. Don't kill your XP if you like it, I kept a 98 SE during a long time too, I undersand. My PC runs under 7 no 8 no 10 ;)
  8. No , bankstick are internal like in the SammichSID, if I remember well it's 4 bank of 128 presets for each EEPROM then 8 banks. But you can easily load and backup it from and to file with the MaxMsp Manager... ...And share it with the community.
  9. The reference is fine in the Mouser BOM, checked. Will change it in the schematic... thx
  10. Hi Yogi, Good to get someone who check my work, It's a mistake. I think I only have got this one in my eagle library, I placed it without changing its value. And I exported the error in the BOM too. Then YES! there's a big advantage to use the 'MB Standard' Will correct Now. Thank you... Antichambre
  11. Transistors and crystal are not rare parts, transistors are common 2N3906, crystal is used commonly in video analog circuit. For the crystal it depends on your casing, if you want to use the cartridge format, 'low profile' is required, you will have to use this package: HC-49/US BR Antichambre
  12. Hi Phatline, Thank you, did my best with my best English. I checked ebay price and they are thief. You've got 2 solutions; http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/ 1 - I know the guy, his parts are original, he is in California. He can provide the NTSC and PAL model TIA NTSC (separated outputs) 11$50 TIA PAL 8$ But he limits the quantity by order, because it's an old and original stock. He is an historical Atari spare part provider. 2 - Psykhaze found a chinese source for the PAL model UM6520P1, he already sent me some, I tested it, and it's fine, same as original I have got. We can try to deal it 4euro each and we are close to order 50 pieces. Then source the chip is not a problem, just tell us how much you want. ;) Antichambre
  13. Hi everyone, You will find everything related to the bulk order for the mb-tia cartridge on the wiki and the associated thread... Antichambre
  14. Hi everybody, I'm sorry for the wait, some of you would not believe it. But. Here we are! You will find on the wiki all the "Cartridge" completed. Some of you will find their nickname in the bulk order list. If you still wish it, complete the options if not erase your line. And I will calculate final price for each one of you asap. Best regards Antichambre

Yep! you remove the plastic after solder, of course.

Yes picture upload problem, sorry for that. no way to delete It too, no option except "édit details" in manage picture button. Seems I'm not the only one:

Will be difficult because, headers on the core are too high no enough space to bend the pins. You can solder wires(I keep cutted resistor legs for that) on the pins which are used in your app. Think about the bootstrap pin too. But it's not a good solution, for the raison you can imagine. Fortunately Lextronic always have a stock of rev B.
  20. Don't be afraid you will love it ;) I would like to show more about, but I've got strange behavior with pictures, for example this one uploaded in a wrong album...
