  3. Hi, I power the Seq v4 with USB , Fine , stable (since a month) i want to permute for a permanent dedicated PSU than USB in the seq case (BLM extension ready) so i've bought a meanwell 5V 3A at reichelt . Meanwell PSU this switching PSU made the Control Surface crash! ( i suspect interaction between supply switching frequency and the frequency of the CS matrix also ripple/noise) i could build filters to sleek the PSU but the config is a bit special. (filter have to be well designed for a certain current, BLM is not constent current, and if the CS crash the BLM will do too! don't like this sensible way) so i thinking use classic design PSU with transformer and a linear LT1085-5 regulator (not done yet) i never used this regulator but i will test. Is someone have experience , suggestion or tips with higher current than 7805 regulator. (perhaps another regulator familly than LT1085) Thanks Nico
  4. Hello, I am trying to get started with the LPC17 CORE module for my Midibox Seq v4. I am following the instructions that are posted here: http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_core_lpc17.html following the steps for installing the MIOS32 Bootloader I've downloaded the LPCXpresso 5.2.6 and I have installed and registered. It does say this now on the Splash Screen: LPCXpresso5 is fully activated. The instructions on the above link indicates this: "After the LPCxpresso IDE has been opened, create a new "FreeRTOS project" for LPC1700 controllers. This project is only used as a dummy to enable the flash programmer - you don't need to change something in the code template, it won't run under MIOS32 anyhow! (You will transfer a precompiled binary into the flash)" But when I go to "Create New project" it doesn't show ANY NXP option. It says this: Wizard: LPC11/LPC12 LPC13/LPC17/LCP18 LPC2x/LPC3x LPC4 LPC8xx I'm attaching a picture showing the New Project Wizard? Is there something I'm, supporsed to Import first? Should I be selecting New Project? Is there different steps? Thanks!
  5. So, I've been prowling around these forums for many months and considering a MIDIBox build for even longer. I recently came into (too many) great synths/samplers and I'm dying for a hardware sequencer that can handle them (Mutable Anushri, Ambika, Ensoniq Fizmo, SP1200 with HxC, etc.). The sequencers on my Elektron boxes just don't cut it for multi sequencing. So, here I am. I put my name on the list. I'm hoping it doesn't take TOO long, but anything great is worth waiting for! On another note: I have a ton of SID chips laying around (stripped some C64s), and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the MB or any other builds I could get into with my chips (such as, difficulty of the build of the MB vs the Sammich, difficulty of acquiring parts, etc.) Also, any advice on the feasability of building one of those Bassline SIDs I see the vid of on youtube would be appreciated (I'd rob a bank if the vault contained one of those!). Thanks in advance, MIDIBoxers.
