Just got mine:) Indeed, the PCB is really beautiful, but GM5 chip is smaller than I thought... But yesterday I soldered YMF262 and YAC512 chips on a selfmade PCB without soldermask, so I think I can manage it. Anyway, wish me luck! Und natürlich dankeschön Thorsten!

Got my chips today, thanks again TK.  These chips and boards are a lot smaller than I thought!

EDIT: I'm having some trouble finding the Reichelt equivalent components on Mouser.com, if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.  There's so many variants on some of these components I don't know which ones are right to get.

Snyderman: Just drop by the chat some time, we'll make a mouser BOM and publish that here ;)

Absolutely, I'll try to catch you in the chat one of these days.  I tried to get some help there earlier but I don't think the right folks were in the channel.

I've tried my best to avoid asking for help and reading the documentation but it's really hard to find a comparison between the Reichelt order and Mouser, since the part numbers aren't the same.

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks, got the chip, PCB; soldered everything; the device is recognised, the drivers are installed. All is fine. Cheers

P.S. But the parts are more expensive here, in Moscow, than in the order list. The crystal, optocoupler, eeprom, capacitors, resistors, diode and the led cost me almost 10 EUR.
