I'm curious if anyone has converted the Schaeffer Front Panel template found here: http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_sid/mbsidv2_front.fpd to DXF format for use in autocad. For my front panel, I used that as a starting point and then found out that my friend's brother works in a metal shop so it will be way cheaper for me to have him create the front panel rather than ordering it from Schaeffer. The cost savings would be negated if I have to order the DFX export filter from Schaeffer, so I'm hoping that somebody else has already converted the template and could provide it to me so I can use it as a starting point.

yep - i have it - but no texts/engravings layer inside.

we removed all the texts so we cut only holes.

That's actually exactly what I need. I'm gonna screen print the text and everything myself, so I just need the holes.

Oops, I guess I didn't specify. I'm not building the mb6582, I'm building the modular 6581 version.

There's no midibox project called "6582". There's the mb6582, which is Wilba's impressive implementation of an mbSID v2. 6582 is just the SID chip. As is the 6581. </mini-rant>

before i waste time drawing it myself in Vectorworks..

sure someone has it? or does everyone use Front Panel Designer?

I ended up using front panel designer because the guy that was going to make the front panel for me got laid off :(
