MAX232 recycle/salvage?

i was wondering while i am sitting here waiting for my max232 chips to be shipped...  is there something common as far as computer hardware is concerned that i could re-use a max232 chip from?  there is all kinds of electro-junk sitting around here but i can't begin to imagine what this chip would be in.
