faton
Hello,I have a strange problem with my DINX4 module... I have checked DINX4/DOUTX4 modules twice with multimeter, not any shortcut, but my control panel doesn't really works.First thing, the synthesizer part seams work well (Just the output 3 and 4 with no sound, but it is another problem...).I checked and re-checked the control panel four times...I tried to invert some 74HC165, but with no differences. The first 74HC165 works, the others not, and two buttons seams be inverted... I suppose that DINX4 problems cause DOUTX4 problems too?In attachement you have a view of the dinx4 chematics with notes... I have tested the CORE J8/J9 pins with the srio_interconnection_test_v1b program and I have discovered that the pin J9/S1 doesn't change of state, the voltage is always 5.0 V. In attachement you have a view of the CORE J8/J9 pins checked with my logic analyzer....As you can see, the J9/S1 pin stay high all the long...I am not an expert, but I think the problem comes from the CORE module...I checked the CORE module, but I found not any shortcut. Can you help me? Any idea?Thank youDINX4_error.PNGlogic.PNGDINX4_error.PNGlogic.PNG
Schrittmacher
Ok, first to do is remove all registers and check the vd vss sc and s1 rc lines on the sockets then check all against vss for shorts your problem sound thta you have an short o an cold soldering pin somewhere on your boardat least check the lines from the core to your board the same for the core board... ckeck all pins to a proper vd and vss then check the connections to all pins of the connectors.i now troubleshooting is boring, but necessary :-)some strange behaivior on my MB Seq cames from cold soldering pins on the DINX4 boardsan at last...... check again when you think you are done :-) i hope thats is helpfulMarco
