no i didn't. i presumed it had been rolled into the java version i have now. i'll try it though. thanks.

no dice. independently checked the midi out of the FM by dumping sysex no problems...

fuck it. can't be bothered spending another night poking around at this. i might just hack up a max patch for it, or just use my windows machine to edit patches..shame.

just to check on this before i start a max patch for this, can anyone confirm or otherwise whether jsynthlib works on osx lion?

My MBFM is not finished yet and my macbook runs snow leopard.
But if you build a MAX for Live patch, then please post it here. :)

Since I'm affected by the Java issue under MacOS 10.7 as well, I started a new implementation based on Ctrlr:

Exactly what is the problem with Java under MacOS 10.7? As far as I can tell, Java is simply not included in the default install, that is, you have to download and install it yourself. See http://helpx.adobe.c...jre-mac-os.html

The default MacOS implementation can't handle SysEx streams, and mmj (-> http://www.humatic.de/htools/mmj.htm) doesn't support Lion (yet)
