Hi all... this effort on everyones part looks pretty amazing! Great work!

I am an experienced builder (from the electronics point of view) and I am interesting in building a SEQ v4.

I guess I am looking for a place to start...

I've been desparately looking for a sequencer that meets my needs and doesn't cost 3000 dollars...and this looks like the ticket.

I hestitate to just dive in because I want to be sure that I actually CAN get all the parts I need. Does anyone out there sell a complete kit? (doubting that) Is there a particulate forum post or wiki link that answers my question? Aer their group buys for everything open at the moment?

Any guidance and direction here would be appreciated!!!!!

A little introduction, while I am here.

My name is Mike Hunter and I record ambient electronic music under the moniker "Ombient" (http://www.ombient.com)

I also host an FM radio show on WPRB 103.3FM out of Princeton NJ, USA called "Music With Space" (http://www.musicwithspace.com)

Welcome!

Yes, you can build one quite easily:

Here are some pointers:

http://ucapps.de/midibox_seq.html

the last one is a photo tutorial of my build of a custom seq v4 (including partslists), but you may want to consider to build a proven Wilba-Style (first link) SEQ V4 which will be way faster, as there are control surface PCBs available and also the frontpanel looks very nice ;-).

If Wilba or Smash are asked nicely, it should be possible to obtain one, I guess :-)

I should have everything in hand to do this right within the next few weeks, then I will begin working my way through the list.

I'll do my best to answer all the questions about specifics with the "it's ready" messages I send out at that time.

Best regards

Tim
