AIN for Buttons

Well, the only other helpful topic about ain's for buttons was one with a dead link to a diagram that 'explained it all'. So can anybody please give me a hint on this?

I'm connecting normally-open switches that share a +5v source but have a diode in the other end to a 3-ic multiplexors (that should give me 24 inputs, althoug i'm just using 13 and the other 11 go directly to ground) ain (x3 in this case) board.

Thing is that I have normally open round +4v and when closed then I get almost +5v.

Any ideas of why it wouldn't work? I guess I'm missing something...but can't tell.

Thanks in advice,

Phantom

pull-down resistors? I would think the AIN pin should have a 10 K resistor to ground. Similar to a DIN (which uses pull-up resistors IIRC).

Just wondering: why are you trying to use AIN instead of DIN for buttons?
