As the title says. I'm a bit rusty at this, and Midibox looks good. Some background: I've worked with PICs in the past, nothing but thru-hole and have never personally etched a board. That being said, I'll be putting an order together with SmashTV.

I can come up with 4 applications to start me off:
- Midimon, seems useful.
- MidiCV, have some old analog gear which I would like to run again.
- MidiSID, have a couple of SIDs I would like to hear.
- and one, to start playing with.

So, 4 cores. So, my question is, what's a good recommendation for processors? Looking around, I'm guessing a 18F452 is best for Midimon. Suggestions for the others?

Also, how's SmashTV's lead time? Am I better off trying to get parts on my own?

hi!
for the sid you'll need 18F4685, for the others the 18F452 is the right one. the info should be in the project pages on www.ucapps.de
it usually doesn't take long to order from smash, depends on availability of parts. if you like to be sure about time, just drop him a mail before you order.
