SeqV4 missing dout assigments

Hi,

I was also planning to build a SeqV4 to fit in my MB9090 project with BPM display. I was going to use the Kingbright BC56-12SRWA from Mouser. This is a three digit display with common cathode.

I assumed that the function was still possible in the SeqV4?

cheers Jef

Thanks Tk,

I am still designing my project with KiCAD (designing for the very first time).

I am a complete newbie at electronics and I am using the forum, wiki and ucapps.de as my guide.

In attachment you can see how I am planning to use the BPM leds.

Once my project is designed and tested I will post the schematics.

Cheers

The function is now integrated in V4.050

Schematic: http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq/mbseq_v4_bpm_digits.pdf

Attention Pcbatterij: you have to change the connections in your schematic, an alternative pinning isn't possible for the LED segments!

The common pins are free assignable to any DOUT pin (in distance to the MBSEQ V3 implementation, where a dedicated SR was required and the remaining 5 pins couldn't be used for something else)

Common cathodes and anodes are supported.

The configuration has to be done in the MBSEQ_HW.V4 file

I haven't tested it, therefore: SMIDIRIN: if you could do this, it would be very helpful.

Best Regards, Thorsten.

  • 2 weeks later...

thanks for the replies,

I have updated the schematics for the BPM display.

The project is still under construction and I would like to use duo-leds for the GP-led's. I have seen Wilba's matrix but don't really know if I can change it for my setup (less buttons, less encoders) and stell get the sequencer running without errors. So I guess I will use two extra SR's instead.

Cheers

Jef
