fcebreros
Hi, I'm probably missing something but I haven't found the MIDI Rx led assigment nor the BPM Display assigments in the MBSEQ_HW.V4 file. Does that mean the BPM Display is not longer supported in V4? Best Frank Edited September 24, 2011 by fcebreros
TK.
Hi, I can support these features again, but need somebody who tests the LED digits of the BPM display, as my own MIDIbox doesn't have it. Did you already build the hardware? Best Regards, Thorsten.
pcbatterij
Hi, I was also planning to build a SeqV4 to fit in my MB9090 project with BPM display. I was going to use the Kingbright BC56-12SRWA from Mouser. This is a three digit display with common cathode. I assumed that the function was still possible in the SeqV4? cheers JefBC56-12SRWA.pdf Edited September 25, 2011 by pcbatterij
TK.
I just need somebody who tests this before I would release such a feature. Please contact me once you've built the hardware, then we can try out the software enhancement together before a release. Best Regards, Thorsten. fcebreros
OK, I'm just designing/building the UI and finishing the DOUT and DIN modules. I'll let you know when I'm ready to test the BPM display. Thanks a lot!!!
pcbatterij
Thanks Tk, I am still designing my project with KiCAD (designing for the very first time). I am a complete newbie at electronics and I am using the forum, wiki and ucapps.de as my guide. In attachment you can see how I am planning to use the BPM leds. Once my project is designed and tested I will post the schematics. CheersMB9090 output sheet.pdf
SMIDIRIN
hey i can test this but as far as i remember i only have 1 digit of the right 'common' variety.. plenty of the other. i'll check later. so is this common anode or cathode? simple to change in software? i could order some more too. oh this would be on seqv4 with STM core. TK.
The function is now integrated in V4.050 Schematic: http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq/mbseq_v4_bpm_digits.pdf Attention Pcbatterij: you have to change the connections in your schematic, an alternative pinning isn't possible for the LED segments! The common pins are free assignable to any DOUT pin (in distance to the MBSEQ V3 implementation, where a dedicated SR was required and the remaining 5 pins couldn't be used for something else) Common cathodes and anodes are supported. The configuration has to be done in the MBSEQ_HW.V4 file I haven't tested it, therefore: SMIDIRIN: if you could do this, it would be very helpful. Best Regards, Thorsten. fcebreros
Thanks a lot!!! I'll test it the moment I have the frontpanel ready (only buttons missing and Dout SR's). The shematic is from pcbatterij but thanks for the warning anyway . Best
pcbatterij
thanks for the replies, I have updated the schematics for the BPM display. The project is still under construction and I would like to use duo-leds for the GP-led's. I have seen Wilba's matrix but don't really know if I can change it for my setup (less buttons, less encoders) and stell get the sequencer running without errors. So I guess I will use two extra SR's instead. Cheers JefMB9090 output v1.02.pdf
