Hello all

Been trying to get the MIDIO128 V3 playing some MIDI files and I get this appearing in the MIOS Stdio window:

[ 713.456] Can't allocate 171 blocks at 850

I've also had some problems with the Sample player so am thinking it might be the SD card Im using which is:
2GB Sandisk with a speed rating of 2, formatted to FAT16.

What cards have people used with success?

Thanks

S

Hi,

This message means, that your MIDI file contains a huge meta data block which is larger than the available RAM.
It could be a SysEx block for example.
Too large blocks will be ignored, and the message will be output as a warning.

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Hi

Thanks for the reply, no MIDI file seems to work, even one which is 17K in size.
Same files on the same card work in the midi player tutorial.

This issue has been fixed in MIDIO128 V3.005

I also noticed that one of your MIDI files caused a bad timing behavior of the sequencer and found + solved the reason for this as well (unnecessary SD Card accesses).

-> all your MIDI files are played with stable timings now :)

Best Regards, Thorsten.
