schmidtc Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 Hi All, The encoder on my Sammich rev2 started behaving oddly today, was working normallly. It will often skip steps 4 of turning clockwise. Counterclockwise it sometimes increases steps in increments of 1's or 4's. I need it for a show so I'm in a bit of a pinch now and I'm going to try soldering in another encoder from my sammichFM kit (sadly still in it's box), assuming they're compatible. m00dawg Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 I can't say if the sammichFM encoder will work but I think they are both standard pinouts. I will say I, too, find the encoder for my sammichSID to be wonky. It's MUCH better on the sammichFM. I wonder, if you really get in a bind, if you can map that to a CC or Sys-Ex message to do the same thing and just use another controller that has better encoders?
