Hi All,

The encoder on my Sammich rev2 started behaving oddly today, was working normallly. It will often skip steps 4 of turning clockwise. Counterclockwise it sometimes increases steps in increments of 1's or 4's. I need it for a show so I'm in a bit of a pinch now and I'm going to try soldering in another encoder from my sammichFM kit (sadly still in it's box), assuming they're compatible. Is there anything besides the encoder I should check? Is there a schematic available?

Thanks!

I can't say if the sammichFM encoder will work but I think they are both standard pinouts. I will say I, too, find the encoder for my sammichSID to be wonky. It's MUCH better on the sammichFM. I wonder, if you really get in a bind, if you can map that to a CC or Sys-Ex message to do the same thing and just use another controller that has better encoders? Could get you by at least for your live show.

sammich* encoders are interchangeable. Ask Wilba nicely he'll prolly just send you one ;)
