TK. Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 LO did it again :)This is a controller for Traktor or other DJ software, it provides the same extension port like LO's MIDIbox MF Quote
pilo Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 ouaaww!!! beautiful!!! ;Dhow do you make the transport button?very good work!Congratulation!! Quote
LO Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Hi PiloThanks :)The transport buttons were very easyThe local surplus shop has these buttons with a removeable clear plastic top all I did was to pop the top off then print a design on the inkjet and stick it underneath.peaceLO Quote
pay_c Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 Woooooohaaa! LO, youre just one of the best DIYers here. Full R E S P E C T. Seems like you have much time and money. ;)Really only cool stuff coming out of your corner!Question on that extension port: Does that mean, that you only connect that baby to your MBMF and thats it or for what is it?That overlay is made again by that copy shop you mentioned? LO Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 blush... Â blushI dont think soThe extension port: Basicly I have 2 cores & a sid in a 1U rack caseOne of the cores has 2 cables comming from it a 9 pin connector & a 25 pin connector. The 9 pin is for AIN extention devices only. The 25 pin (pictured) contains lines for MB_link (if required) DIN, AIN DOUT modules. Therefore I can connect the traktor module, which only contains 1xAIN & 1XDIN or unplug and connect the other module which contains Motor faders, additional core etc etc. When Modules are not connected I have "blank" plugs to fit on the ends of the cables which earth the AIN's to stop them going crazyThe wires inside are a bit of a mess! I struggle to remember what I have done every time I need to open it up! (just finished upgrading to 18F's phew...)The overlay is a decal done with Lazertran (designed with CAD & Illustrator) and baked in the oven was actually very cheap to make! My brother is a wood worker (plenty of offcuts!) & some people owe me favours! ie laser cutting panels etc.cheerLO Quote
arumblack Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 ok, so the cores are actually in your rack, and you just connect wichever controls you want? that is a pretty cool idea!and looks darn sweet too! Quote
