MidiBox open for "Learn" option ?

Just for ask if anybody checked the "Learn" option on Ableton Live , Propellerheads Reason , and other similar tools 

for set/map control templates with midibox as controller ,

(unfortunately as for so many other more option no sufficient info for the not "Experts"  )

Seems fairly self explanatory to me and certainly not for "Experts".

Whats so expert about turning a knob from left to right so the MIDIbox HUI receives it?
