Here's some music from the Swedish movie "Livet i 8 bitar" ("Life in 8 bits", US title is "Bit by bit"). It's made by the great band K-pist (http://www.kpist.net/). They haven't got an MB-SID, so iguess i'm fooling around in the wrong thread ;D... but it's C=64, so whattaheck, here goes:

All the MP3s are nameized by the band, so they are ok. here are some more k-pist stuff: http://acme.iml.umu.se/johan/?path=dl

maybe we could have a competition, to get a midibox in a photo with someone famous, or on TV or something, by leaving it in the background, where someone famous is about to say something important 8) Maybe in a Daft Punk film clip or something!

(No, Honestly, I am not an electronics geek at all! ;))

(such a midibox would have to have the word www.ucapps.de on it ;))

OR, maybe We, Midibox Forum ppl, could do a joint efford and DONATE a working machine to:

Daft Punk or Fatboy Slim or Chemical Brothers! ;D

I think each of those would probably pick it up and give it a try, and if they love it's sound, fit it in their studio setup!

And then we just have to wait for their next interview with Future Music, The Mix, Keyboard, Electronic Musician or whatever, because as far as I know, they give pretty detailed info 'bout their studio, and use and rave 'bout gear that fits their setup (no endorsement deals)

Bye, Moebius

why don't we do some music, get famous and tell some magazines about our unique equipment? Let's just be the next Fatboy slims, chemicals or Daft Punks or whoever.

I think if there's someone capable of paying for gear it's these guys. I don't really need to be underground or something, but i think if musicians are really interested in stuff like this, they discover it on their own or they don't.

Or let's experiment with the following thought: how would Fatboy Slim, chemicals.... sound if they HAD a MB SID? Hmmm, maybe just like the next track you will produce, because most of you guys have one. ;)

Use it yourself, don't wait for some superstar to do it for you.

Listen to the new Kylie Minouque (I always forget how this name is written proberly) song, it's definetly produced with some SID Synthesizer or emulator or Samples.

Let's all get rich and famous and fat and lazy!  B)

I think a better choice would be Richie Hawtin. Not only is he one hell of a talented individual, but the SID sounds would be right up his ally, especialy if you have ever seen his Live DFX909 performances. Oh, and he's a geek to and Im pretty sure it would get modified like his 909 and various other analog equiptment.

On a side note, he has hair now, it's freaking weird cuz I dont think he's left his head unshaven in like 15 years.
