neodjandre Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Hello ppl. First of all, I give my warm congrats to all those midi controller artists (yes artists!, not just creators). I am really thrilled with all the work that has to be done for a midi controller starting from the layout and going all the way through to circuit connections and proper housing. It crossed my mind to build my own midibox64 but then I realised this will be a huge commitment for me. I would say that I'm willing to spend around £200 for my fantasy custom mc.. I'm not using software synths, I would just want my midi controller to send simple CC to control Native Instruments Traktor Dj Studio. The truth is that I had to visit http://www.ucapps.de/ to understand first of all what this is all about. Now I believe that I grasped the general idea of building a Midibox64. It's just that I have no experience with circuits and soldering and that's why I would rather not build a mc. Then again is the matter of creating a suitable housing, I can't see myself drilling holes and firmly stuffing pots :D Just wanted to post this as a newbie talk to this fascinating -shall I call it- hobby.  :D :D  Quote
