Hi!
I want to midificate a guitar pre-amp I'm building.
The idea came to me after a soldano motorised pre.
I thought of the following layout and want to know whether it is possible.

A motor connected via a plastic tube to a dual gagned pot (probably a custom one) with a 10k lin pot for controll, connected to Core, and another pot for the amp. On the other end of the axle a knob can be mounted to provide manual controll.

Do you think this can be realised? I don't think I can find dual motorised pots , fast, with 10k lin and 500k log together so I think this is the only way to go.

What kind of motor has to be used? I want it to be fast-switching, like the motorfaders.

Thanks,
Uclaros

Rotary-Pots from Alps:

If you build it yourself, I think you should use a gearbox -  not direct onto the pot-shaft.

Mouser has a dual ganged 10K linear motorized pot: 316-1020-10K. Maybe there is someway you could replace one of the pots with a 500K audio pot. Or gang a 500K audio pot on the shaft?
