Hi

i love touchsensors  :o !!!

thanks for this Thorsten you change my way of life !!  8)

with this test board, i can make toms rolls or phat breakbeats

with only one finger, and a small circular movement !!  :o

BUT... :-\

when i touch two sensors in the same time, i heard one or the other sound randomly.

is there a way to have touchsensors acting like buttons ??? (polyphonic?)

I wish that it be possible by any means....  :'(

If the notes seem erratic and the pads are definitely not triggering erratically then you might need to look at the code that is handling how the triggers send MIDI, although if you are using TK's code as designed then I am sure that the code is OK.

I see you have a set of LED's assigned to the pads, do they light up as expected, or do they jump around like the MIDI notes do?

i can share all things that you want...

but i have don't understand some questions  ??? (i'm french)

all that i can say for the moment is,

I have simply use the touchesensor fonction of the DIN (with 47k & pin 14...)

and made a copper board, that including the led for the DOUT

(useful for the Toggle Mode)

and copper for the DIN.

Sensors & Leds works perfectly !! and it's the fastest way to trigger sounds

that i know !!!  :o :o WOW!!

if i pressed two, three, four or more sensors at the same time, no problem

i received all the notes in Cubase, without any latency !!! great !!!

it's definitively the heart of my future midibox, soon finished.

what exactly do you wanna know ? if i can help you...

here is a small video (without sound)

we can't really imagine the ease of use with

this video, it's a real pleasure.  :-*

the three sensors of the bottom are in "toggle" mode

and the three on the top are in standard "hit" mode.

Now make a beat with my computer

is really easy like make it on a table  :o

Salut mec!

When i saw your cool Camambert board it struck me: THE ULTIMATE REASON REX TRAVELLER!  ;D

this circular trigger pad is going to revolutionize my musik making too, i'll use it to trigger REX slices in any way or order i want.

I etched a quick board to play with,

but I have the very same problems as you describe:

Notes seem monophonic and are quite noisy too.

how did you fix it in the end? thanks in advance, Alex

ok good question !

and i have the solution  :P

excuse my english, if u don't understand something

it's surely because of my expression, but i try.

1- the first problem i have encountered is when i touch a sensor

the message 0,127,0,127,0,127... was send in loop

to resolve this problem i have simply connect the 0v of the midibox

to the ground.

2- ok at this stade, when i touch a sensor it send correctly the values

like a button. (but very quickly and intuitively)

but when i touch to or more sensors, there's no more message send

or messages are send randomely.

to fix this problem, i simply plug myself  ;D

with a jack in the belt directly to my skin

connected to the ground  ;D

Now my body was perfectly at 0v, the computer

& the midibox also !! and i can touch 32 or more

sensors, without any problem, like a button.

i search a better way to solve this problem, but for now

i plug (myself) & play  ;D

Now i'm on way to design my definitive midibox

with two circular "camembert" of 7 & 9 parts

and some linear touchsensors of 12 parts...  8)

From where come this purple colour of your board ?  ???
