Xenepp
Hi all,I'm new to the whole MIDIbox concept but very excited and whilst muddling through the descriptions of how everything works I'm left wondering the limit to which Reason 3.0 can be interfaced with the MIDIbox since it's really all I use and can't even begin to imagine how useful it'd be to use a semi-real subractor!I guess the main thing that's puzzling me is how many controllers I can assign and the limits therein.I'd ideally like to have a physical 14:2 mixer or subtractor I can control in real hardware by clicking on one of these devices in Reason and use every aspect in real life. Can I use the LED display readouts in real life or does anyone know how many of the knobs/buttons of said devices I can control in hardware? I've tried to follow the descriptions as best I can but I'm afraid since I'm new to fiddling with the guts of MIDI I'm finding it hard to understand just how much control I can have on the hardware. Also, I see some MIDIboxes have motorised faders, is this possable in any way on the MIDIbox64 design, and does 64 mean I can only use 64 knobs/faders/buttons etc or 64 buttons and 64 faders etc?I hate to make my first post here a question (or pleathora of), apologies in advance!Thank you and I hope to share my completed project with you all in the coming months! -Joel
Therezin
I'm not really sure about using it with Reason as I don't use it that often, but as far as I know the "64" part of the MB64 goes like this:up to 64 pots / faders (essentially the same)ANDup to 64 buttons (an encoder or "endless pot" is 2 buttons)ANDup to 64 LEDsI think that's right, though there are people here who are far more knowledgeable about the subject than myself... Xenepp
That's great news, especially when looking at this:http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=6105.0Looks like that's one part of my query wrapped up ;)It'd be great though if also the MB64 could utilise also motorfaders LED digits and LCDs, though I think looking at the way Reason sends midi these things would not be possable :'(Anyone can feel free to correct me on this though ;DThanks Therezin! -Joel
