the operator
I would like to build a midibox CV in order to control my MS-10 with MIDI sequencer (1st step -> CV / Trig / Cutoff Freq.) ;D. I meet some difficulties to understand MS-10 specifications from http://www.korganalogue.net/korgms/manuals/ms10/m1001.html#specs which drive AOUT module design :* VCO control voltage input (linear response) / 0V ~ +8V ??? * External cut-off frequency control input (2OCT / V) / -5V ~ +5V ???* External trigger input / ??? What does it mean? What is the max output voltage, 8 V? R_x, R_y and R_sigma should be respectivly 10kohm, 2,2kohm and 800 ohm?Does it work as follow? moebius
Hi.Which is more important - that You understand this jargon or that controlling MS-10 works?* VCO control voltage input (linear response) / 0V ~ +8V ??? = Midibox CV Hz/V option. TK has used Korg MS-50 to realize this.* External cut-off frequency control input (2OCT / V) / -5V ~ +5V ???= This is funny one ;) V/oct. scaled down (to 0,5V/Oct) + Balanced CV extension* External trigger input / ??? What does it mean?= Switched trigger, S-trig whatever. Using reversed gate polarity should work.Uh, and build the Midibox CV by following orders on the site and worry about scaling max voltages ect. later.Moebius
the operator
So i can build midibox CV and then i will setup each details?
moebius
Yes.Most of this configuration stuff for MS-10 can be done from software setup. Only filter control is more problematic, so have a look at Midibox CV page and details on Balanced CV extension.. (not hard one to do)Moebius
