Hello, I'm connecting the rest of the lc so I'm building the extension with 8 MF's. I installed the 2 additional midi in/out ports for the second core and declared in main.asm the XT header for the second core. Is it necessary to midi link the 2 cores?

... it depends a little bit on what you are doing with the LC.

If you like to have, for example, 2 Mackie Clones (Master / Slave) with a host program, it is not necessary to link the two cores. You'll have to connect each core to a seperate Midi Port then.
