For you guys that have designed for Live?

Recommended Posts

If you designed your controller with Live in mind, how did you focus down what you wanted to control? With practically everything in Live being controllable, how do you not leave something out that you may one day decide to control?

it goes this way: what do you really use all the time in Ableton? in my case it was on/off for plugins, tap tempo and 4 faders, therefore i don t have play,stop,etc i don t have any button assigned to clips for i launch them with the mouse, no MB menu buttons, no datawheel, no LCD so my MB is supplied by the USB hub

  BUT

hey it s you the one who s gonna use it, nobody really knows better than you what you want, just consider what s the final use for your controller and, as long as you re not going to control a multi track studio recording, keep it simple, no real need for 150 pots 32 motorized faders and hundreds of buttons, you have only 10 fingers all in all, and with presets, midi channel switch you can control alllot.
