CNY-17 instead of 6N138

I(ve got a CNY-17, wich I use in an old midi board power by a 8032, is it possible to use this with the core module (this is the not the same pinout, but I saw how to modify it...).

Hi Pilo,

yes, you can use this optocoupler, it works perfectly with most MIDI interfaces, but sometimes you've to tweak the resistor values, therefore the 6N138 should be prefered.

yes, it's exactly the same schémtic as on my board!

And I see that i've just to change R6 value to 1.8k, and plug the CNY in the same way as the 6N138... huumm sound great!  :)
