Saving Patterns With Mbseq 3.4

I just completed my sequencer and start to lern to use it. One thing that I find kind of frustrating is saving patterns. The simples way I found so far is to press menu+save->select(2sec). I think this interrupts the process a bit. Is it possible to do it in a simpler way or is it possible to add a shortcut, like pressing f4 once to save the pattern in the selected slot?
