kelvin
A scale of temperature measurement used primarily in special measurements requiring precision at near absolute; in the US, the Fahrenheit scale, or worldwide, the Celsius are is most often used for common temperature measurements. The Kelvin scale is used in the computer industry only by chip makers in the process of manufacturing. Strangely enough, the word degree is not used with the Kelvin scale.
