  1. Hi everyone,

    I'm new here,

'cause I just found out this nice forum including ucapps.de site (great stuff!)

Well... I have experiences with DIY, but only with analogue gear (mic preamps, EQs, guitar stompboxes, etc...),

so I know how to wire potentiometers, faders; I know how to use resistors, capacitors & opamps to make

filters, eqs, distortion circuits... blabla :)

And now I see that I could be able to make my own midi controller for DAW (I'm using Cubase), but all I need

is someone to point me in the right direction, because when it comes down to digital - I'm dead. I mean, I know

basic theory of MIDI and how ADDA works (briefly), but I don't know which module for what and so on...

So, let's make it short and simple:

I would like to make 16-channel controller with motorised faders, 16 pan pots (rotary) and LCDs (I'm guessing 1 LCD per 4 channels) for showing up

the name of a track/channel, bank select switches and nudge switches. That's all. :)

Which module(s) would be the best to make this happen and if anyone already made something similar, is there

    a schematic available?

Plus, then I would need some software to programme what LCDs will show, etc. Right? :)

I'm ready to learn, I just need some directions.

Thank you for your answer and time. ;)

P.S.: I'm mostly using Cubase 6 if this helps you.
